Artículo 1
Con el fin de construir un espacio para divulgar nuestra cinematografía y la del mundo en un paisaje natural inigualable, posibilitando la unión del arte, el turismo y la sociabilidad llevaremos a cabo la Quinta Edición del FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE CINE DEL FIN DEL MUNDO, que se desarrollará del 22 al 26 de abril de 2026, en forma presencial en la sala Niní Marshall de la ciudad de Ushuaia, Provincia de Tierra del Fuego, Antártida e Islas del Atlántico Sur.
Artículo 2
El llamado es para obras audiovisuales de cualquier duración, género, nacionalidad o formato. Habrá 2 Competencias Oficiales: una de largometrajes y otra de cortos y mediometrajes. El género podrá ser ficción (narrativas, animación, experimentales) o documental en cualquiera de sus variantes.
Artículo 3
La postulación al FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE CINE DEL FIN DEL MUNDO será a través de una convocatoria abierta.
Artículo 4
Las postulaciones se realizarán vía online a través de Filmfreeway (https://filmfreeway.com/FestivaldelFindelMundoUshuaia) desde el 2 de febrero hasta el 12 de marzo inclusive.
El FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE CINE DEL FIN DEL MUNDO podrá prorrogar la fecha de cierre de la convocatoria en caso de que lo considere necesario.
Artículo 5
Los films seleccionados recibirán un mail informando la elección y con el pedido del envío del material necesario, condición sine qua non para terminar con el procedimiento. Las personas vinculadas a las películas seleccionadas se comprometen a no difundir su participación hasta que la programación del festival sea anunciada por la organización.
Artículo 6
La inscripción al FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE CINE DEL FIN DEL MUNDO implica la total aceptación de estas bases y condiciones. La interpretación, modificación y aplicación de las mismas corresponde al Festival.
Artículo 7
Una vez notificada la incorporación del film en la programación, el mismo no podrá ser retirado del Festival salvo autorización expresa de la Dirección Artística del Festival.
Artículo 8
El Festival presupone que los productores o realizadores que se inscriben a través de esta convocatoria cuentan con los derechos de exhibición de sus obras, quedando eximido el Festival de cualquier responsabilidad civil o penal.
Artículo 9
El FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE CINE DEL FIN DEL MUNDO podrá utilizar fragmentos de las obras seleccionadas para la difusión de esta o futuras ediciones, en los medios de comunicación, sin derecho a percibir monto alguno derivado de este uso por el autor.
Artículo 10
El FESTIVAL INTERNACIONAL DE CINE DEL FIN DEL MUNDO es un festival competitivo. Los premios en cada Competencia, definidos por el Jurado Oficial, son: Mejor Película y Mejor Corto o Mediometraje, Mejor Dirección, Mejor Guion y Mejor Actuación, con la posibilidad de algunas menciones. También se entregará el Premio del Público.
Los premios de los jurados no oficiales constan de: menciones y primer premio del Jurado Joven a cortos nacionales en la Competencia Oficial, Premio Accesibilidad de la Fundación Aldea de las Luces a un corto en la Competencia Oficial, Premio Argentores al Mejor Guion de una película argentina en la Competencia Oficial, Premio ACCA a la mejor película argentina de la Competencia Oficial.
Artículo 11
En caso de que el festival se replique en otro país o región o se haga un FOCO en otro festival lo consultaremos con cada uno oportunamente para decidir su participación.
Artículo 12
Las tasas de inscripción no serán reembolsables en ningún caso.

Artículo 14
Cualquier cuestión no prevista en estas bases será resuelta por la organización del Festival.

Article 1
With the aim of creating a space to showcase our cinema and that of the world in an unparalleled natural landscape, fostering the union of art, tourism, and social interaction, we will hold the Fifth Edition of the END OF THE WORLD INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL, which will take place from April 22 to 26, 2026, in person at the Niní Marshall Hall in the city of Ushuaia, Province of Tierra del Fuego, Antarctica and South Atlantic Islands.
Article 2
The call for submissions is open to audiovisual works of any length, genre, nationality, or format. There will be two Official Competitions: one for feature films and another for short and medium-length films. The genre may be fiction (narrative, animation, experimental) or documentary in any of its variations.
Article 3
Submissions to the END OF THE WORLD INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL will be accepted through an open call.
Article 4
Applications will be submitted online through Filmfreeway (https://filmfreeway.com/FestivaldelFindelMundoUshuaia) from February 2nd to March 12th inclusive.
The END OF THE WORLD INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL may extend the closing date of the call for entries if deemed necessary.
Article 5
Selected films will receive an email informing them of their selection and requesting the submission of the necessary materials, a prerequisite for completing the process. Those associated with the selected films agree not to publicize their participation until the festival program is announced by the organizers.
Article 6
Registration for the END OF THE WORLD INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL implies full acceptance of these terms and conditions. The interpretation, modification, and application of these terms and conditions are the responsibility of the Festival.
Article 7
Once notified of a film's inclusion in the program, it may not be withdrawn from the Festival without the express authorization of the Festival's Artistic Direction.
Article 8
The Festival assumes that the producers or filmmakers who register through this call for entries hold the exhibition rights to their works, thereby exempting the Festival from any civil or criminal liability.
Article 9
The END OF THE WORLD INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL may use excerpts from the selected works for the dissemination of this or future editions in the media, without the author being entitled to any payment derived from this use.
Article 10
The END OF THE WORLD INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL is a competitive festival. The awards in each Competition, determined by the Official Jury, are: Best Feature Film and Best Short or Medium-Length Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay, and Best Performance, with the possibility of honorable mentions. An Audience Award will also be presented.
The awards from the unofficial juries consist of: honorable mentions and the first prize from the Young Jury for national short films in the Official Competition, the Aldea de las Luces Foundation Accessibility Award for a short film in the Official Competition, the Argentores Award for Best Screenplay of an Argentine film in the Official Competition, and the ACCA Award for Best Argentine Film in the Official Competition.
Article 11
In the event that the festival is replicated in another country or region, or if a focus section is held at another festival, we will consult with each festival in due course to determine their participation.

Registration fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.
