2. Para la categoría de ANIMAMINUTO se aceptaran animaciones mínimo de 30 segundos y que no superen los 2 minutos de duración (tema libre). Esta categoría se divide en dos secciones ESTUDIANTES y PROFESIONALES . Pueden participar de diferentes partes del mundo. Pueden participar proyectos realizados desde el 2023.
3. CATEGORIA MEJOR CORTO ESTUDIANTIL CARIBETOONS: se aceptarán cortos hasta máximo 30 minutos de duración, de cualquier técnica y temática libre, que hayan sido realizados desde el 2023. En esta categoría solo pueden participar estudiantes universitarios , aficionados, o proyectos de grado en Colombia. Que tenga deseos de participar y dar a conocer sus proyectos en esta nueva versión del Festival.
4. CATEGORIA MEJOR CORTO CARIBETOONS: se aceptarán cortos nacionales e internacionales hasta máximo 30 minutos de duración, de cualquier técnica y temática libre, que hayan sido realizados entre el 2023 al 2026. Que tengan deseos de participar y dar a conocer sus proyectos en esta nueva versión del Festival.
5. MUESTRA NO COMPETITIVA de cortometrajes y largometrajes nacionales e internacionales: Pueden participar cortometrajes sin restricción de año de creación, que tengan deseos de mostrar sus cortos. Deben tener subtítulos en ESPAÑOL para obras en otro idioma ( Con subtítulos en español para obras en otro idioma).
6. MEJOR VIDEOCLIP: Pueden participar obras máximo 10 minutos de duración, creados desde el año 2023. (solo animación). Pueden participar obras nacionales e internacionales.
7. MEJOR ANIMACIÓN -SELLO VERDE CARIBETOONS: La categoría Sello Verde Caribetoons está dirigida a obras audiovisuales animadas, mínimo 7 minutos máximo 30 minutos de duración, que integren la sostenibilidad como eje central, ya sea desde su contenido narrativo o desde sus procesos de producción.
Podrán participar cortometrajes, videoclips, series animadas y proyectos experimentales que:
Aborden temáticas ambientales y ecológicas (cuidado del agua, biodiversidad, cambio climático, territorio, reciclaje, comunidades sostenibles, entre otros).
Hayan sido realizados con prácticas de producción responsable o sostenible (uso de materiales reciclados, reducción de residuos, procesos de bajo impacto ambiental, producción consciente).
Promuevan mensajes de conciencia ambiental, protección del entorno y respeto por la naturaleza.
Esta categoría reconoce no solo las historias que hablan del planeta, sino también las maneras responsables de crearlas, destacando proyectos que aporten desde la creatividad a una cultura de sostenibilidad.
8. MEJOR PROGRAMA DE TV O SERIES WEB ANIMADO: Pueden participar programas de televisión estrenados o por estrenas, series web nacional e internacional con fecha de creación desde el 2022. Temática libre.
9. Términos y condiciones:
1. La programación oficial puede estar sujeta a cambios.
2. Todas las actividades del festival son de entrada gratuita sin ánimo de lucro.
3. Los productores o casas productoras, deberán firmar una autorización de exhibición donde conste la proyección de la obra , de manera gratuita, para el Festival Caribetoons.
OTROS CONCURSOS:
GREEN FRAME PITCH : Una categoría competitiva dirigida a proyectos de animación (serie, corto o largometraje) que aborden problemáticas medioambientales desde una perspectiva innovadora, territorial o científica. Pueden participar proyectos internacionales.

Caribetoons is an international animation festival held in Santa Marta, Colombia, with the goal of promoting animated audiovisual creation and showcasing emerging talent in this field.
Caribetoons 2026 will take place under the theme "Animating the Future, Caring for the Planet." This new edition of the festival seeks to solidify Caribetoons as a leading event in the Caribbean and Colombia for the animation industry, the academic community, emerging creators, and the general public.

2. For the ANIMAMINUTO category, animations of at least 30 seconds and no more than 2 minutes in length will be accepted (open theme). This category is divided into two sections: STUDENTS and PROFESSIONALS. Participants from around the world are welcome. Projects created since 2023 are eligible.
3. CARIBETOONS BEST STUDENT SHORT FILM CATEGORY: Short films up to a maximum of 30 minutes in length, using any technique and open theme, created since 2023, will be accepted. Only university students, amateurs, or graduation projects in Colombia are eligible to participate in this category. Participants should be eager to showcase their projects in this new edition of the Festival.
4. CARIBETOONS BEST SHORT FILM CATEGORY: National and international short films up to a maximum of 30 minutes in length, of any technique and theme, produced between 2023 and 2026, will be accepted. Filmmakers wishing to participate and showcase their projects in this new edition of the Festival are encouraged to submit.
5. NON-COMPETITIVE SCREENING of national and international short and feature films: Short films of any year of creation are welcome. Films in other languages must have Spanish subtitles.
6. BEST MUSIC VIDEO: Works up to 10 minutes in length, created from 2023 onwards, are eligible. (Animation only). Both national and international works are welcome.
7. BEST ANIMATION - CARIBETOONS GREEN SEAL: The Caribetoons Green Seal category is for animated audiovisual works, between 7 and 30 minutes in length, that integrate sustainability as a central theme, either in their narrative content or production processes.
Short films, music videos, animated series, and experimental projects are eligible, provided they:
Address environmental and ecological themes (water conservation, biodiversity, climate change, land use, recycling, sustainable communities, among others).
Have been produced using responsible or sustainable practices (use of recycled materials, waste reduction, low-impact processes, conscious production).
Promote messages of environmental awareness, environmental protection, and respect for nature.
This category recognizes not only stories about the planet, but also the responsible ways of creating them, highlighting projects that contribute to a culture of sustainability through creativity.
8. BEST ANIMATED TV PROGRAM OR WEB SERIES: TBEST ANIMATED TV PROGRAM OR WEB SERIES: Television programs that have already aired or are about to premiere, as well as national and international web series created from 2022 onwards, are eligible. The theme is open.

1. The official program is subject to change.
2. All festival activities are free and non-profit.
3. Producers or production companies must sign an exhibition authorization stating that the work will be screened free of charge at the Caribetoons Festival.
