Brief History of FESTiFRANCE
Created in 2015 by Roberto de Matos FESTiFRANCE is a French film festival, produced by SOKOL.M Compagny, a French company that operates in the production and dissemination of cultural events. The festival consists of feature films, mediums and short films, in the genres of fiction, animation and documentary. As a competitive show, it promotes contact between audiences, jury, professionals and young filmmakers. In addition, FESTiFRANCE brings workshops, debates and workshops on cinema. Among some of its objectives, the favoring, diffusion and promotion of French (and francophone) cinema in Brazil stands out, in addition to contributing to the development of the cities that host the event in a dynamic and cultural way. The team, composed of French and Brazilians, allows a rich exchange of experience and knowledge.
We have supported the fight for equality between men and women for many years, mainly in cinema, which, despite substantial progress, remains a world dominated by men. FESTiFRANCE, had its previous editions in partnership with Sesc Minas between the years 2015/16/17, and at MIS Santa Tereza 2018/2019. The idea of our event is to provide an appreciation of art in the cultural and social sphere between France-Brazil.
This year the festival will take place in November in the most beautiful movie theatre of Belo Horizonte!
