FestShortBerlin (The Berlin International film Festival)

FestShortBerlin, the Berlin International Film Festival, created in Berlin in 2010 by Sokol.M Productions. One of the biggest bets of the FestshortBerlin, is the discovery and the revelation of cinema talents. Short movies (any genre) and features that are able to combine their own personal cultural identities with the multiple stimuli acquired at distant horizons. A voracious cinema, able to join in a uniform way, the artistic creativity and originality with the complexity of our current situation.

From this idea the Official Competition will be made with a selection of more films, that you are going to discover very soon. Our goal is to bring a selection of works of great quality, which we consider essential to be seen by the public.

Young filmmakers (first movies) are very welcome. From any background, and any genre of film are welcome. We want to promote young talents and show their work.

This 2023 edition will be online, with the participation of international professional jury. Several online meetings and debates will be organized.

Films must be sent by the 31 th of October 2023. A committee made up of personalities from cinema, theater and various professions will select the films and projects.
The films must be with English subtitles.

The Festival was not taken place as announced. After Email contact with organisator it was siad that it will be an online Festival, because of Corona (in Berlin such Events right now possible). I was told that i get a link to this event. I did not. After is asked for link i was told it is a private Festival only for Jury. Then i wanted to know who the Jury will be and this is kind of strange behaviour because there are no public information about this change of presentation. The organisator just replied that if ask further question my movie will be kicked out of Festival and i am the only one who is asking about this. It was a very rude answer. i cannot recommend this Festival.
