The FascinAsian Film Festival celebrates and promotes Asian perspectives, culture, and identity in film and media. The festival exists to highlight the talent of local, national, and international Asian actors, filmmakers, and content creators. We aim to create programming that inspires, educates, and brings the Asian-Canadian community together in appreciation of the art form and the collective effort by its valued members.

The organization strives to foster understanding and appreciation of Asian arts and culture within the Canadian mosaic. All films made by Asian-Canadian or Asian North-American filmmakers where the film's subject is Asian culturally centric will be considered.

Wonderful film Festival with excellent programming! My animated short Pray was screened this year! Unfortunately, we couldn't travel all the way from Shanghai but the festival team promptly communicated by emails. Thank you very much!

Great festival with a commitment to showcasing Asian Canadian filmmakers. I attended at the Calgary location and had a wonderful time. Very inviting volunteers and staff that were well organized and worked to tackle any issues that arose. Very good for a first-time physical festival.

  • This festival is very supportive and flexible to accommodate its filmmakers! Even though I could not make it in-person, I was part of the virtual Q&A which was very fun and warm. They also support filmmakers very generously with the screening fees and festival package - free t-shirt, what's not to love? Thank you again for showing my film!

The FascinAsian Film Festival was a great festival! I was unable to physically be there at their screenings but participated virtually in their Q&A.

Hosts were great, the staff were very responsive with any questions or issues. The films that screened were great and really showed an interesting breadth in storytelling, with animated and live-action films centered on the Asian experience.

Will definitely submit and participate in FascinAsian Film Festival in the future!
