The Fargo Fantastic Film Festival exists to showcase the ambitious and creative independent filmmaker. To make a good “genre” film takes real creativity, craftsmanship and – yes, artistic merit. We show professional and amateur productions as both can learn from the other. The fest kicks off at the Fargo Theatre and then continues in conjunction with VALLEYCON, the premiere pop culture celebration in the region!

Awards for best films in various genres, both short subject and feature. Also the Roger and Julie Corman Award for Intrepid Filmmaking.

Submit films via online submission ONLY, all films that are selected must supply a file for projection (to be converted to blu-ray for projection-DCP is NOT available except when requested by the fest due to limited movie theater projection)

Thank you Fargo Fantastic Film Festival for selecting our short film "Wendy & Vee" to be screened.
Hopefully next time I can come in person!

Seems like it was a cool festival. I couldn't attend so I can only assume my short "LifeQuest" actually screened for which I am grateful. Not much in the way of communication.

  • This was a great festival for our short film GREEN MEADOW to be a part of. Though it would have been greater if I had been able to attend in some way. Thanks!

  • The fest looked busy and fun on the brochure. Happy our short Evelator screened. Would have ideally preferred a bit more communication or some results or feedback out of it. I will submit again next year and hopefully I can book lodging ahead of time.
