The Fargo Fantastic Film Festival exists to showcase the ambitious and creative independent filmmaker. To make a good “genre” film takes real creativity, craftsmanship and – yes, artistic merit. We show professional and amateur productions as both can learn from the other. The fest is in conjunction with VALLEYCON, the premiere pop culture celebration in the region!

Awards & Prizes

Awards for best films in various genres, both short subject and feature. Also the Roger and Julie Corman Award for Intrepid Filmmaking.

Rules & Terms

Submit films via online submission ONLY, all films that are selected must supply a file for projection (to be converted to blu-ray for projection-DCP is NOT available except when requested by the fest due to limited movie theater projection)

    I was thrilled to have my short film *In Half* screened at the 23rd Fargo Fantastic Film Festival, held as part of ValleyCon. It was an amazing experience to be part of such a creative and vibrant event. While communication with the festival was a bit limited at times, I’m very grateful to the organizers for the opportunity to showcase our project and for the visibility they gave it through ValleyCon.
    Overall, it was an honor to be included, and I’m genuinely thankful to have been part of this celebration of genre filmmaking.
