Have your film viewed by Bafta-winning, OSCAR nominated animator Daisy Jacobs, Artist and Sundance official selection filmmaker, Anna Cady, heads of Academic film departments and film festival founders, and have your film shown in front of an amazing audience at REEL Cinema (plus award and, gala screening, with Q & A of shortlisted films).

After a long hiatus, the Fareham Arts Festival is back!

The films will be judged by a panel of industry experts and the selected films will be screened at the Ashcroft Arts Centre from 9th-13th February 2025. The festival will have an after-show talk/Q and A with the directors/producers of the selected films.

As part of Fareham Arts Festival we are committed to supporting new and upcoming filmmakers by giving them an opportunity to show inspirational and innovative new work.

Awards & Prizes

There will be a winner in each of the categories.

Short Film Category
Fiction Short Film Award - Diploma + £500
Experimental Short Film Award - Diploma + £500
Documentary Short Film Award - Diploma + £500
Animation Short Film Award - Diploma + £500

Runner-ups winner in each category will be awarded a diploma + £250

Feature Film Category
Fiction Feature Film Award - Diploma + £750
Documentary Feature Film Award - Diploma + £750

Rules & Terms

Films must be made after Jan 1st 2023.

No more than 30 minutes long for short films and no less than 50 minutes long for feature films (including credits).

All films must be original and you must own the copyright.

Foreign films must be fully subtitled in English
