FACE Film is an international film festival, developed by the Young Creative Leaders, a Festival that focuses on spotlighting real-world issues through an array of remarkable films from around the globe, a vehicle for directors and filmmakers to reach new audiences,

FACE Film is a part of FACE Festival, a 10day festival which invites young change makers from around the world to take part in discussions on the UN’s sustainable development goals and engage in conversations on their impactful work. You can learn more here.
In 2024, the 7th edition of FACE Film Festival will be taking place on the 22nd of November, at ODEON, Manchester (TBC). The ODEON Manchester is a large 100 seater screening, where you can view your film on the big screen amongst other filmmakers, film enthusiasts, artists and entrepreneurs.

As Young Creative Leaders, we believe in the transformative potential of film, capable of reshaping perspectives and sparking meaningful dialogue. And so, following the screening you will then have the opportunity to attend a relaxed filmmaker meet and greet, whereby you will be invited to form connections and explore potential collaborations locally and internationally. We will consider short films (under 30 minutes) across all genres; narrative, documentary, animation, experimental etc, as long as they address one of the following:

-Protest
-War
-Climate Change
-Mental Health
-Science
-The Media
-Racism and Xenophobia
-Identity

All films selected to be shown as part of FACE Film are considered for the awards below. Awards will be presented on the 15th November at the Young Creative Leaders’ Awards Ceremony in Manchester, United Kingdom.

Eligibility:
1. All films must be in English or - if they are in a different language - subtitled in English.
2. All films will be considered: under 45 minutes is considered a short film, 45+ minutes is considered a feature film.
3. Films must show and/or discuss one or more of the following issues to be considered: Climate Change, Identity, Mental Health, Science and the Media, Xenophobia.
4. We do not have a premiere policy.
