Fabriano Film Fest is an international film festival that aims to support the 17 objectives of the UN 2030 agenda through concrete actions.
Films we are looking for must be intense, interesting, with important themes even if treated lightly.
Our screenings are always in attendance in the beautiful city of Fabriano, with a warm, friendly, but also highly professional environment.
This year too we will be together for our twelfth edition and certainly the "language of the short film" will still be the flagship of the festival, which however will also give great weight to feature films with content suitable for children aged 13 to 18.
Precisely with a view to concrete actions to support the UN objectives for a sustainable world, our festival includes activities and screenings for children, young people, the elderly and people with disabilities, as we strongly believe in the importance of education and inclusion.
Saturday evening will also be dedicated to the award ceremony and the red carpet with gala dinner. Sunday to our closing concert.
The selected films will be screened in other film festivals and events linked to the Fabriano Film Fest.
During the days of the festival the films will be streamed to assign the Web award to the most viewed one.

The winning films will be screened in festivals or events twinned with the Fabriano Film Fest.
ATTENTION: For all non-Italian films, also in English, Italian and/or English subtitles will be required, plus the dialogue list in Italian and/or English.
It will be possible for the public, after accreditation, to view the selected films on the platform(s) chosen by the festival
The organization reserves the right to admit to the contest short films notwithstanding the current regulations.
Fabriano Film Fest accepts short films that can be of particular interest giving a fee waiver. However, if the film wins in one of the categories for which there is a cash prize, the film cannot win the amount of the cash prize, as it has not paid any fee. It would not be correct for those who sign up by paying regular fees.
By enrolling to the contest, every author and distributor agrees to these rules and declares himself/ herself responsible for the content of his/her work. In case of failure to comply with these conditions the candidate will be excluded from the event. All entries that comply with the current regulation will be screened by the organizing commission, which, at it's sole discretion, will select participants of the contest to be presented to the award-assigning jury.

Submitted material will not be returned, and will be archived. It is possible that some material may be re-used in other events, as clips, for non-commercial use.

The selection of the admitted short films and the corresponding screening days will be communicated in good time on the following site: www.fabrianofilmfest.it and on the Facebook and Instagram pages of the festival, so as to allow the authors to be present at the screening and/or, eventually, at the awards ceremony.

The Jury, made up of journalists and cinema professionals, will assign the awards and any special mentions. The Young Jury will also decide on the best film of the festival. There will also be a prize awarded by the public audience present at the screenings.

Personal data (L. 675/96) will be processed for the purposes of the festival only.
Registration for enrolment implies full acceptance of the current regulations. For any information not provided, the Italian Civil Code rules apply.

  • From Vasily Chuprina, director of “Artistic Character”:

"I attended the Fabriano FF last December and was really enjoying being there. There were a lot of very good shorts in the program and the venue was packed with people, which doesn't happen often at film festivals. Fabriano is a lovely Italian town.
The Artistic Director of the festival, Valentina Tamada, makes a wonderful job in organizing the festival. I’m very thankful to Valentina, other organizers and the jury for such a good film selection as well as to the sponsors for making this event happen. I wish the festival all success!"

Great communication and a massive well done for making the festival happen with an audience. I was delighted to have my short film selected and thankful for the thoughtful ways in which Fabriano FF included filmmakers who were not able to attend in person. An absolutely lovely experience and a festival I very much hope to be able to attend at a future edition!
