Fabriano Film Fest is an international short film festival.
The short films we are looking for must be intense, interesting, with important themes even if treated lightly.
Our screenings are always in attendance in the beautiful city of Fabriano, with a warm, friendly, but also highly professional environment. Each year the selected short films have an exceptional quality, with the arduous task of the jury, to judge them.
Also this year we will be together again for our tenth edition and certainly the "language of the short film" will still be the highlight of the festival, with the screenings of the films admitted to the competition on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
But we will also have workshops, meetings, screenings, conferences and... aperitifs!
Sunday will be dedicated to the winning short films and their authors, to the award ceremony and, of course, to our closing concert.
Films from Iran, Venezuela, Iraq , Afganistan, are entitled not to pay the entrance fee using the code nofee23. With this code will be accepted a maximum of 30 films. Each director can submit only one film.
Awards and special mentions:
- First prize for the best short film: 1.000 euros;

NB: Shorts from disadvantaged countries (Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Venezuela, Argentina) are admitted without fee. Just 30 films. One film each director, just fiction, 15 minutes including titles. Use the code nofee23. If it doesn't work it means there are no more possibilities. Please do not send emails asking free waivers. Thank you!
Short films must have a maximum running time of 15 mins, including credits. Works already enrolled in other festivals are also accepted. Films of any origin or language are allowed. F
ATTENTION: For all non-Italian films, also in English, Italian and/or English subtitles will be required, plus the dialogue list in Italian and/or English.
The organization reserves the right to admit to the contest short films notwithstanding the current regulations.
By enrolling to the contest, each author declares himself/ herself responsible for the content of his/her work. In case of failure to comply with these conditions the candidate will be excluded from the event. All entries that comply with the current regulation will be screened by the organizing commission, which, at it's sole discretion, will select participants of the contest to be presented to the award-assigning jury.
Submitted material will not be returned, and will be archived. It is possible that some material may be re-used in other events, as clips, for non-commercial use.
The selection of the admitted short films and the corresponding screening days will be communicated in good time on the following site: www.fabrianofilmfest.it and on the Facebook page of the festival, so as to allow the authors to be present at the screening and/or, eventually, at the awards ceremony.
The Jury, made up of journalists and cinema professionals, will assign the awards and any special mentions. The Young Jury will also decide on the best film of the festival. There will also be a prize awarded by the public audience present at the screenings.
Personal data (L. 675/96) will be processed for the purposes of the festival only.
Registration for enrolment implies full acceptance of the current regulations. For any information not provided, the Italian Civil Code rules apply.
