ENGLISH
1.- Experimental short films may participate regardless of their production date. The call is open to the public, both nationally and
Internationally, each participant can send a maximum of 4 films.
2.- The theme is free.
3.- Short films may belong to any of the following categories:
EXPERIMENTAL, found footage, documentary, animation, video art, video performance, video essay, ethnographic cinema, remix, reappropriation, indigenous cinema (experimental), super 8, home movies.
4.- The works must have a minimum duration of 1 minute, maximum 180 minutes
(short, medium and feature film)
5.- Films may be made with any type of camera or digital technology, as long as we can exhibit the film in digital format.
6.- We will only receive digital files (No installations)
7.- Foreign films that are spoken in a language other than Spanish must send the final file with subtitles (Spanish)
It is important that the filmmaker commits to carrying out this process, since we are in contact with cultural institutions in Mexico that request this process on a mandatory basis.
Note:
If the selected filmmakers do not send their film with Spanish subtitles, they will be automatically disqualified without a refund of the registration fee.
Keep this information in mind before sending your film.
8.- Translation
* The filmmaker can do the translation independently
*If you need support with the translation, we can do this process for a cost that is determined according to the duration of the film.
(This option is not mandatory to take with us)
9.- We ask that when registering your work you do not change the password or download your project since this does not allow us to evaluate it and is grounds for disqualification.
10.- In your registration, use an email that you constantly check since if your email is incorrect or you do not check it, we will usually not be able to establish communication with you. If you are selected and do not send your digital files, your project will be disqualified.
11.- Registration will be carried out exclusively through the FilmFreeway platform.
12.- Selected authors must send their film with a download link
through platforms such as: Dropbox, We transfer, Vimeo, Drive or similar. The format must be MP4, H264 codec.
13.- The registration deadline is December 10, 2025. Registrations made after this date will not be taken into account.
14.- The official selection will be announced via email as well as the festival's official social networks starting on December 19, 2024.
15.- The Jury's decision will be unappealable
16.- The selected works will be projected from July 4 to August 29, 2025.
17.- Participants are responsible for the rights of the works sent.
18.- The screening times will be announced in the official Festival program, as well as on social networks.
19.- The Festival may use fragments of the selected films to disseminate the event in the media, including the Internet.
20.- The Festival organization will not under any circumstances cover the coverage of tickets, travel expenses or accommodation for the authors of the selected short films.
21.- The Festival is non-competitive in nature, so it will not pay screenings to the selected artists.
22.- Music videos, advertising videos or installations will not be accepted.
23.- Once the work is registered there will be no type of financial refund for the registration.
24.- Sending a film to Fisura, International Experimental Film and Video Festival, Mexico, third edition implies acceptance of these rules.

ESPAÑOL
1.- Podrán participar cortometrajes experimentales sin importar su fecha de realización. La convocatoria está abierta para todo público, tanto a nivel nacional como
internacional, cada participante puede enviar un máximo de 4 películas.
2.- El tema es libre.
3.- Los cortometrajes podrán pertenecer a cualquiera de las siguientes categorías:
EXPERIMENTAL, found footage, documental, animación, video arte, video performance, video ensayo, cine etnográfico, remix, reapropiación, cine indígena (experimental), super 8, home movies.
4.- Las obras deberán tener una duración mínima de 1 minuto, máximo 180 minutos
(corto, medio y largometraje)
5.- Las películas podrán estar hechas con cualquier tipo de cámara o tecnología digital, siempre y cuando podamos exhibir la película en formato digital.
6.- Sólo recibiremos archivos digitales (No instalaciones)
7.- Las películas extranjeras que estén habladas en otro idioma que no sea el Español deberán enviar el archivo final con subtítulos (Español)
Es importante que el cineasta se comprometa a realizar este proceso, ya que estamos en vinculación con instituciones culturales en México que solicitan este proceso de manera obligatoria.
Nota:
En caso de que los cineastas seleccionados no envíen su película con los subtítulos al Español serán descalificados automaticamente sin devolución por la cuota de inscripción.
Tenga en cuenta este dato antes de mandar su película.
8.- Traducción
*El cineasta puede hacer la traducción por su cuenta de manera independiente
*Si necesitas apoyo con la traducción nosotros podemos hacer este proceso a través de un costo que se determina de acuerdo a la duración de la película.
(Esta opción no es obligatoria tomarla con nosotros)
9.- Te pedimos que al inscribir tu obra no cambies la contraseña o bajes tu proyecto ya que esto no nos permite evaluarlo y es motivo de descalificación.
10.- En tu inscripción utiliza un correo electrónico que revises constantemente ya que si tu mail es incorrecto o no lo revisas usualmente no podremos establecer comunicación contigo. En caso de que seas seleccionado y no envíes tus archivos digitales, tu proyecto será descalificado.
11.- La inscripción se realizará exclusivamente a través de la plataforma FilmFreeway.
12.- Los autores seleccionados deberán enviar su película en un link de descarga
a través de plataformas como: Dropbox, We transfer, Vimeo, Drive o similar. El formato deberá ser MP4, codec H264.
13.- La selección oficial se dará a conocer a través de correo electrónico así como de las redes sociales oficiales del festival
14.- El fallo del Jurado será inapelable
15.- Las obras seleccionadas se proyectarán del 4 de julio al 29 de agosto del 2025.
16.- Los participantes son responsables de los derechos de las obras enviadas.
17.- Los horarios de proyección serán anunciados en el programa oficial del Festival, así como en las redes sociales.
18.- El Festival podrá utilizar fragmentos de las películas seleccionadas para difusión del evento en medios de comunicación, incluyendo Internet.
19.- La organización del Festival no cubrirá en ningún caso la cobertura de pasajes, viáticos o alojamiento para los autores de los cortos seleccionados.
20 .- El Festival es de carácter no competitivo por lo cual no pagará proyecciones a los artistas seleccionados.
21.- No serán aceptados vídeos musicales, videos publicitarios ni instalaciones.
22.- Una vez inscrita la obra no habrá ningún tipo de devolución económica por el registro.
24.- Enviar una película a Fisura, Festival Internacional de Cine y Video Experimental, México, tercera edición implica la aceptación de estas normas.
