Marisa Benito Crespo is a Spanish filmmaker and visual artist with a background in Fine Arts and a Master’s degree in Research in Art and Aesthetic Education. She is a professor of Audiovisual Media at the Mateo Inurria School of Art and Design (Córdoba).
As an artist, her work is shaped by sensory experience, imagination, memory, and photographic and cinematic language. She works with archival materials to rescue images from oblivion and establish a dialogue between past, present, and future.
Her films have screened internationally at film and video art festivals and exhibitions, earning awards such as Best Animation Film at the PAPA Historical Film Festival (Hungary, 2024), First Prize at the Bideodromo International Experimental Film & Video Festival (Spain, 2023), and Winner at Cortos en Femenino (Spain, 2019).
Her work has also been featured in PHotoEspaña 2024, PHOTOALICANTE International Photography Festival 2021, and the Espacio Femenino program at Instituto Cervantes (2020).
