We value your passion, time, and money.

All films submitted will be watched with care and respect.

We only charge one entry fee per category for all seven awards. This means that filmmakers can submit their work to multiple categories without having to pay multiple fees. This is an excellent way for filmmakers to improve their chances of being chosen for the festival. and to reach a wider audience for their work.

We update the event's selection and winners on the exact dates we specified as quarterly notification day and event day. Whereas the date of the annual event will be mailed to the finalist personally.

If you withdraw your film before the notification date (by submitting a valid invoice to our email address) or if the film festival is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control, we will refund 80% of your submission fee.

Awards & Prizes

Quaterly Event:

1. In every category, on notification day, we first declare the official selection for the quarterly event.

2. We announce the quarterly event finalist between the notification day and the event day.

3.The recipients of awards for Best Film, Director, Editing, Cinematography, Story, Screenplay, and Acting in each category will be revealed during the event day.

4. The quarterly event winners will be directly chosen to compete in the annual event.

5. The winners of our quarterly events will be announced on our website and social media platforms.

6. The official selected films, finalists, and quarterly event winners will receive a Filmscar International Film Festival Laurel and a digital certificate.

Annual Event:
In the month of December, an annual event will be held with a screening of the winning film and an award ceremony.

1. The winners of the four quarterly events will be chosen as finalists for the annual event.

2. The winner of the annual events in all categories will be chosen by a panel of judges.

3. On the first week of December, the annual event winners will be officially announced on our website and via e-mail.

4. The Annual winning short and feature films, short and feature Indian films, short and feature documentary films and short and feature Social Awareness films will grace the theater screen, presenting themselves to both creators and audiences during our annual event. Awards and certificates will be presented  at the annual event.

5.  There will be a special jury award for an independent film apart from other categories for their exceptional work and a cash prize will be announced later for the best social awareness film.

Rules & Terms

Eligibility:

> All films submitted to the Filmscar International Film Festival must be original and the sole work of the submitter(s).

> There are no set deadlines for the film completion. Films completed in any year are eligible for the submission.

> Short films must be no longer than 50 minutes, and feature films must be no less than than 50 minutes.

> All Non-English Films must have English subtitles.

> Films must be submitted only through Film Freeway.

Submission Fees:

> There is only one submission fee for all seven categories.

> If you withdraw your film before the notification date and provide the correct invoice copy to our e-mail ID, or if the film festival is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, 80% of your submission fee will be refunded.

Selection:

> A panel of judges will select the films based on artistic merit, originality, and technical achievement.
> The judges' decisions are final.

Screening:

> The annual winning short and feature film, short and feature Indian films, short and feature documentary and short and feature Social Awareness films will be screened at the Filmscar International Film Festival Annual event in December.

> The filmmaker(s) of selected films will be invited to attend the festival.

> The festival reserves the right to screen the films and use promotional assets such as the film poster, teaser and trailer or any other promotional content.

> The annual event winners will be announced in the first week of December, with the winning film being screened. Filmmakers should provide 2K DCI output with 24 FPS. Complete information will be mailed to the winning filmmakers.

Terms & Conditions

> By submitting a film to the Filmscar International Film Festival, the submitter(s) agree to the following terms and conditions:

> The filmmaker(s) grant the festival a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to screen the film at the festival and to promote the film on the festival's website and social media pages.

> The filmmaker(s) agree to provide the festival with a high-resolution copy of the film in a format specified by the festival.

> The filmmaker(s) agree to indemnify and hold harmless the festival from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising out of or in connection with the film, including any claims of copyright infringement or other intellectual property violations.

> The festival reserves the right to change the venue, rules and terms at any time.

Additional Notes:

Films must be submitted in a format that is compatible with Film Freeway.
Films must be submitted with all necessary permissions, including music licenses and clearances.
The festival reserves the right to disqualify any film that does not meet the eligibility requirements or that violates these rules and terms.
