BASES PARA PARTICIPAR
1. Participantes:
- Podrán inscribirse realizadores y productores de cualquier nacionalidad, mayores de 18 años.
2. Inscripción:
- Para ser considerados en la Selección Oficial de la décima edición del FICC, las inscripciones se deberán de realizar entre el 15 de mayo y el 15 de agosto de 2026.
- Todas las inscripciones deberán hacerse a través de FilmFreeway.
- Podrá un mismo participante inscribir más de un proyecto, siempre y cuando se llene y se pague una forma de inscripción por proyecto.
- Los pagos de inscripción no son reembolsables en ningún caso.
3. Obras:
- Se recibirán proyectos de ficción, documentales y proyectos de animación, realizados en cualquier país.
- Se aceptan largometrajes y cortometrajes que hayan sido completados después de Noviembre 2024.
- Sólo se considerarán obras terminadas.
- Los trabajos deberán presentarse en su idioma original; en caso de no ser en español, deberán incluir los subtítulos incrustados.
- Creemos en el talento y la creatividad de las y los creadores; por lo tanto, no contemplaremos materiales desarrollados con inteligencia artificial.
- No serán consideradas las obras que estén disponibles públicamente en plataformas digitales, y por lo tanto, no deben ser inscritas.
- No se aceptarán proyectos promocionales de productos y servicios, turismo, etc.
- No se aceptarán proyectos previamente inscritos en ediciones pasadas del festival.
4. Proyectos Celayenses:
- Para que un proyecto sea considerado dentro de la categoría local, deberá cumplir con al menos uno de los siguientes requisitos:
a) Origen del Director(a): Que la persona que dirige sea originaria de Celaya o resida actualmente en la ciudad (comprobable).
b) Producción Local: Que al menos el 70% de la obra haya sido filmada en locaciones dentro del municipio de Celaya.
c) Talento Local: Que el proyecto cuente con una participación mayoritaria de talento (elenco y crew) celayense.
5. Selección:
- Los resultados se notificarán vía FilmFreeway y redes sociales.
- La decisión del comité de selección será inapelable.
- Una vez aceptada la participación de una obra en la Selección Oficial, esta no podrá ser retirada de la programación del festival bajo ninguna circunstancia.
- El equipo de programación contactará directamente a los cineastas seleccionados para el envío de materiales.
- La asistencia de los cineastas seleccionados al festival no es obligatoria; sin embargo, nos encantaría recibir a quienes tengan la posibilidad de asistir. Les pedimos notificarnos lo antes posible para coordinar su presencia y organizar conversatorios con el público.
6. Exhibición y Promoción:
- Las obras seleccionadas formarán parte de la programación de la décima edición del FICC y serán proyectadas en nuestras sedes oficiales (espacios culturales, públicos e independientes).
- El festival se reserva el derecho de utilizar fragmentos de las obras seleccionadas con fines estrictamente promocionales y de difusión del evento en medios de comunicación y redes sociales.
- Es responsabilidad del participante asegurar que el archivo enviado tenga la calidad visual y sonora óptima para su proyección en pantalla grande.
- El FICC no pagará en ningún caso derechos de exhibición por las obras seleccionadas.
- Los trabajos seleccionados podrán formar parte de muestras nacionales con fines culturales organizadas por el FICC durante el año 2026-2027, previa notificación al realizador.
7. Propiedad Intelectual y Derechos:
- Al inscribir su obra, el participante declara ser el titular legítimo de los derechos de exhibición de la misma, incluyendo música, guión, imágenes, gráficos, logos, marcas y cualquier material sujeto a derechos de autor de terceros.
- El festival se deslinda de cualquier responsabilidad legal derivada de reclamos de terceros respecto a la propiedad intelectual de los proyectos inscritos.
8. Aceptación de las Bases:
- La inscripción de un proyecto implica la aceptación total de las presentes bases. Cualquier situación no prevista en esta convocatoria será resuelta por el comité organizador del festival.

RULES & TERMS
1. Eligibility:
- Filmmakers and producers of any nationality, aged 18 and older, are eligible to submit.
2. Submission Process:
- To be considered for the Official Selection of the 10th edition of FICC, all submissions must be completed between May 15 and August 15, 2026.
- All submissions must be made exclusively through FilmFreeway.
- Participants may submit more than one project, provided that a separate entry form is completed and the corresponding fee is paid for each one.
- Submission fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.
3. Film Requirements:
- We accept fiction, documentary, and animation projects from any country.
- Feature films and short films completed after November 2024 are eligible.
- Only completed works will be considered.
- Films must be presented in their original language; if the language is other than Spanish, the film must include burnt-in Spanish subtitles.
- We believe in the talent and creativity of filmmakers; therefore, we will not be considering any projects that were developed with AI.
- Films that are publicly available on digital platforms will not be considered and should not be submitted.
- Promotional projects (commercials, tourism, corporate services, etc.) are not eligible.
- Projects previously submitted to past editions of the festival will not be accepted.
4. Local Category:
- To qualify for the local category, a project must meet at least one of the following requirements:
a) Director’s Origin: The director must have been born in Celaya, or a current resident (proof of residency may be required).
b) Local Production: At least 70% of the film must have been shot on location within the municipality of Celaya.
c) Local Talent: The project must feature a majority of cast and crew from Celaya.
5. Selection:
- Results will be notified via FilmFreeway and our official social media channels.
- The decision of the Selection Committee is final and non-appealable.
- Once a work has been accepted into the Official Selection, it cannot be withdrawn from the festival program under any circumstances.
- The programming team will contact selected filmmakers directly to request the necessary exhibition materials.
- Selected filmmakers are not required to attend the festival in person; however, we would be delighted to welcome those who are able to join us. We kindly ask you to notify us as soon as possible to coordinate your attendance and organize Q&A sessions with the audience.
6. Exhibition & Promotion:
- Selected works will be part of the 10th FICC programming and will be screened at our official venues (cultural, public, and independent spaces).
- The festival reserves the right to use excerpts from selected works strictly for promotional and press purposes across media outlets and social networks.
- It is the participant's responsibility to ensure that the submitted file has the optimal visual and audio quality for large-screen projection.
- FICC will not pay screening fees for any selected works.
- Selected works may be included in national showcases or other cultural exhibitions organized by FICC during 2026-2027, with prior notification to the filmmaker.
7. Intellectual Property and Rights:
- By submitting a project, the participant declares they are the sole legal owner of the exhibition rights, including music, script, images, graphics, logos, brands and any third-party copyrighted material.
- The festival disclaims all legal responsibility for any third-party claims regarding the intellectual property of the submitted projects.
8. Acceptance of Terms:
- Submitting a project implies full acceptance of these Rules & Terms. Any situation not covered in this call for entries will be resolved by the festival’s organizing committee.
