Festival Internacional Cine de América / FICAH

FICAH MÉXICO will be held annually and its main objectives are to promote and promote the production, completion and exhibition of cinematographic works, mainly from the American continent.

We have incorporated from our 5th edition, films from all over the world. With the intention of promoting and promoting the exhibition of independent film produced around the world.

Since its 1st. edition, the FICAH awards the Crisol de América award to the winners of each category, as well as the prizes awarded by our sponsors.

All fiction and / or documentary feature films produced and / or co-producted in countries of the American continent with end date 2021-2023, that have not been exhibited in Mexican territory before; either in commercial billboards, festivals or cinematographic samples and that have a minimum duration of 65 minutes including credits.

Also, Mexican fiction and / or documentary feature films produced and / or co-produced mostly with Mexico with year of completion 2021 that have not been exhibited in Mexican territory and that have a minimum duration of 65 minutes including credits, will be considered.

For our 2023 edition, short and feature films, documentaries and fiction, produced in the rest of the world, with an ending year 2021-2023, that have not been shown in Mexican territory, will be considered.

To celebrate our 5th. Edition, we include, for the first time in our programming, films produced in countries outside the American Continent. This category will present fiction feature films produced in any country in the world. With an end date between 2021 and 2023. That they have not been previously exhibited in Mexican territory, either on commercial billboards, exhibitions or festivals. The minimum duration will be 65 minutes. With subtitles in Spanish, in case the language of the film is other than this one.
