Short Stack is a bi-monthly short film festival bringing together and celebrating local films & local talent, proudly presented by Fantastic Film Festival Australia.
We provide a platform for local filmmakers to showcase their work in front of a cinema audience and mingle with like-minded filmmakers & cinephiles.
The event screens Bi-Monthly with a new package of shorts screening:
October 19th
December 21st
February 22nd
April 19th

The final April screening will be a special edition of Short Stack as part of the 2023 edition of Fantastic Film Festival Australia. A celebration of creative flair, genre cinema and alternative filmmaking themes. Learn more about FFFA at - https://www.fantasticfilmfestival.com.au/

Short Stack will be hosting an event meet and greet for all the participants and entrants to mingle, network and have a drink together."

Prizes will be awarded to both the Festivals Choice and People's Choice of the film of each Short Stack.

- All genres of film are accepted
- Music videos and student films are accepted
- All entries must have completed production after Jan 2020.
- Films must have been made in Victoria
- By submitting your film, you acknowledge that the Lido reserves the right to promote your film on our website and social media
- Submitting your film does not guarantee that it will be showcased. The festival reserves the right to make the final decision on whether to screen any particular film.
- Successful applicants must have at least 1 representative present at the event. They will have 2 minutes to introduce their film on the night.
