L’Hospitalet Short Film Festival (FCLH) celebrates its 21st edition in 2026, firmly established as a leading cultural event in the Barcelona metropolitan area and a platform for socially engaged cinema.
For over two decades, the festival has supported and promoted young filmmakers committed to human rights, international cooperation, and a culture of peace. FCLH creates a space where audiovisual creation becomes a tool for dialogue, critical thinking, and social transformation.
The GLOBAL category focuses on international short films that address Human Rights, cooperation, and social justice from a critical, artistic, and transformative perspective. The festival is especially committed to emerging voices and new cinematic perspectives.
For its 21st edition, the festival introduces the thematic focus “Territories”, understood in a broad sense — geographical, symbolic, political, identity-based, or social. This year’s edition invites filmmakers to explore diverse realities, question dominant narratives, and decentralize perspectives.
FCLH is held in L’Hospitalet de Llobregat (Barcelona, Spain) and brings together filmmakers, audiences, and cultural agents in a vibrant and inclusive environment.
The financial endowment for the GLOBAL category 2026 is as follows:
1st Prize “Territories”: €1,350 + trophy
2nd GLOBAL Prize: €850 + trophy

In addition to the competitive GLOBAL category, the festival also includes 2nd LGTBIQ+ Youth Short Film Showcase, which is a non-competitive category intended for exhibition purposes only.
