"Exchange" is an international student short film festival founded by The Academy of Arts in Novi Sad. The initiative to establish the festival was started by four second-year students of production for audiovisual media.

The name "Exchange" represents the motivation for realizing the festival which came from the need for connecting with students of other academies and art faculties from the entire world who are also involved in film. The desire to learn about the work of our colleagues and young filmmakers is the basis idea of the concept of the festival.

Rules & Terms

Exchange is an annual film festival happening in june, in Novi Sad, Serbia. Submissions for filmfreeway are open in two selections:

1. International selection – official program

2. Animated film selection – special program

ELIGIBILITY FOR ENTRY TO OFFICIAL COMPETITION

1. The festival is open to competitors from all-over the world, with no exceptions.
2. The maximum length of the films is 20’.
3. Film must be produced in the last 4 years.
4. Festival accepts short fiction films only.
5. All non-Serbian movies must have English subtitles for screening.

IF YOUR FILM IS SELECTED:
- Films that are accepted can't be withdrawn from Exchange film festival
- Festival can use excerpts from movies in order to promote the festival
- In order to submit a film, you must own the rights or have permission from the owner.
- EXCHANGE film festival will not be responsible for damaged copies.
- The applicants (submitters) must accept Exchange film festival Rules and Terms.
