Thank you to the volunteers who give so much time in order to make the festival such a success. The workshops are really useful for filmmakers to develop their ideas and techniques. The festival itself is such a lovely celebration of all of the children’s hard work and the quality of the films is very impressive. The new categories are great too.

This is a brilliant little event for young people to show off what they can do no matter what level they're at, with great encouragement shown to all involved. Absolutely recommended for any young person wanting to make films.

Shout out to Gary who, when my son was given an extra award after the event, met me at our local train station (20 minutes away from his own) whilst he was coming home from work on an insanely delayed train during the heatwave, to give me my sons certificate and prize! Legend!

We had a wonderful experience at Evolve 2026! The atmosphere was incredibly supportive, and the entire event was flawless. Our short film, The Doll's House, was a finalist, and seeing it alongside genuinely brilliant films in a packed screening at the Vue Cinema was unforgettable. My daughter was absolutely thrilled to win Best Director. The judges' brilliant feedback alone makes this must-enter. Evolve Film Festival is a phenomenal champion of young filmmaking talent.
