1. Ethnofest - Athens Ethnographic Film Festival takes place in Athens, Greece, at the end of November each year. The festival is administered by Anthropologiki Etairia Athinon - Ethnofest (Athens Anthropological Society). You can read more about the festival at https://www.ethnofest.gr/festival/about/
2. Eligible are films completed as of 2023.
3. The festival reserves the right to use video and/or audio extracts as well as other press material of films submitted for promotional purposes. The festival also reserves the right to edit the film description you have provided us with for the festival's catalogue and website as well as for promotional purposes in various media and platforms.
4. Films included in the festival should not be openly accessible online in the period between the public announcement of the festival's programme and their screening in the festival. If for any reason you’d like to have your film accessible online within that period, please contact us at programme@ethnofest.gr
5. For better promotion of the festival and films, we will need you to send us any information and press material within ten working days after your film has been invited to the festival.
6. In the case of non-english language films, upon selection we will ask you for an english dialogue list and/or english subtitles. Please be prepared to provide these within ten working days upon notification of selection.
7. We will create a dedicated info page in our database for all films selected for screening in the festival. The festival may use the thematic keywords you have provided us with but reserves the right to use more or different keywords.
8. We will only consider films submitted which are accompanied by a completed submission form. The festival maintains the right to revoke the invitation in the case that the filmmaker/distributor fails to provide the requested material within the designated time frame.
9. We may not be able to notify applicants whose submitted films were not selected for the festival’s programme.
10. Submission of a film implies that the person submitting is also the person holding the films copyright or has secured the appropriate permissions, as well as that the film's use during the festival does not violate rights of third parties. It is the responsibility of the person submitting to secure authorization for any copyrighted material that may be used in the film. The festival is held harmless from any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages or expenses, which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, or screening of any film.
