Esto Es Para Esto es una exhibidora, distribuidora de cine independiente y un colectivo que tiene como prioridad la difusión del cine alternativo. Curamos programas de cortometrajes y largometrajes originarios del estado de Nuevo León que se comunican con producciones de otros países siguiendo sus propios criterios, estilos y propuestas. Operamos en la ciudad de Monterrey, México desde el 2015.

La diversidad de miradas y maneras de concebir el cine enriquecen la experiencia cinematográfica como espectadores. Parte clave de nuestro proyecto, es buscar el diálogo entre realizadores y audiencia. En cada función abordamos temas desde diferentes ángulos entre los asistentes por medio de un cine foro.
En esta convocatoria presentamos nuevos proyectos de exhibición dentro de Esto Es Para Esto: EIC 6,, Carcajaja Festival de Cine y Risas 3 y Red Outline Video Art festival 3, por lo que nuestra convocatoria será distribuida de diferente manera.
Quien se inscriba a Esto Es Para Esto - Exhibidora de cine debe saber que la manera en que operamos nuestros eventos es distinta a cualquier festival tradicional de cine, nuestras fechas de eventos son las siguientes para que leas detenidamente esta parte.
Esto Es Para Esto - Exhibidora de Cine proyecta todo el año contenido local, nacional e internacional, con programaciones distintas.
EIC 6 será en JUNIO 2026 durante el mundial de FIFA 2026
Carcajaja Festival de Cine y Risas 3 se llevará a cabo en AGOSTO 2026
Red Outline Video Art Festival 3 se llevará a cabo en DICIEMBRE 2026

Dada esta información nuestra convocatoria estará abierta más tiempo que en otros eventos en los que te inscribas, así que cualquier duda puedes escribirnos.

Nuestra convocatoria se dividirá en 4 formas con diferentes fechas cada convocatoria.
En EEPE proyectamos varias veces lo que los otros eventos tienen en diferentes fechas después de que el evento se lleve a cabo, nosotros nos comunicamos con los participantes cuando esto sucede, por si en nuestras redes sociales ves que estamos compartiendo y tu contenido aún no lo ves es por las fechas antes mencionadas .

Somos un proyecto de exhibición distinta; hemos desarrollado diferentes salidas para cortometrajes y largometrajes que se dividen de la siguiente forma:
Esto Es Para Esto proyecta cine todo el año, en distintos programas, con prioridad al cine local de la ciudad de Monterrey, México. EIC es un festival de cine internacional, con 6 años de existencia, celebrado de forma virtual y presencial, dentro del mes de junio de 2026.
Carcajaja Festival de Cine y Risas busca trabajos enfocados al género de la comedia en cualquiera de sus expresiones audiovisuales, a proyectarse en agosto 2026.
Red Outline se llevará a cabo en diciembre del 2026.

Esto Es Para Esto is a film exhibitor, distributor of independent cinema, and a collective that prioritizes the dissemination of alternative cinema. We curate programs of short films and feature films originating from the state of Nuevo León that communicate with productions from other countries, following their own criteria, styles, and proposals. We have been operating in the city of Monterrey, Mexico since 2015.

The diversity of perspectives and ways of envisioning cinema enrich the cinematic experience for viewers. A key part of our project is to foster dialogue between filmmakers and the audience. In each screening, we address themes from different angles among the attendees through a film forum.
In this call, we present new exhibition projects within Esto Es Para Esto: EIC 6, Carcajaja Festival de Cine y Risas 3, and Red Outline Video Art Festival 3, which is why our call will be distributed in different ways.

Those who register for Esto Es Para Esto - Film Exhibitor should know that the way we operate our events is different from any traditional film festival. Our event dates are as follows, so please read this part carefully:
Esto Es Para Esto - Film Exhibitor projects local, national, and international content throughout the year, with different programming.

EIC 6 will be in JUNE 2026 during the 2026 FIFA World Cup
Carcajaja Festival de Cine y Risas 3 will take place in AUGUST 2026.
Red Outline Video Art Festival 3 will take place in DECEMBER 2026.

Given this information, our call will be open for a longer period than in other events you may register for, so feel free to write to us with any questions.
Our call will be divided into 4 categories with different dates for each call.
In EEPE, we project what the other events have multiple times on different dates after the event takes place. We communicate with participants when this happens, so if you see us sharing on our social media and your content has not yet been shared, it is due to the aforementioned dates.

We are a distinct exhibition project; we have developed different outlets for short and feature films that are divided as follows:
Esto Es Para Esto projects cinema all year round, in various programs, prioritizing local cinema from the city of Monterrey, Mexico. EIC is an international film festival, with 6 years of existence, held virtually and in-person within June 2026.
Carcajaja Festival de Cine y Risas seeks works focused on the comedy genre in any of its audiovisual expressions, to be screened in August 2026.
Red Outline will take place in December 2026.

Awards & Prizes

El material será seleccionado por Esto Es Para Esto - Exhibidora de Cine para ser proyectado en nuestro festival EIC en el 2026 de manera virtual y presencial en el mes de junio) y/o en una o varias funciones posteriores, durante las actividades de proyección de Esto Es Para Esto - Exhibidora de Cine.

No fomentamos la competencia cinematográfica.

No somos un festival de cine tradicional.

Uno de nuestros objetivos como colectivo es realizar un acervo cinematográfico de las proyecciones que hemos realizado a manera de preservar la memoria cinematográfica y con la posibilidad de proyectar de nuevo esos programas en funciones posteriores. Si usted no está de acuerdo en formar parte de nuestro acervo o quiere más información al respecto puede comentarlo en el momento de inscribir el material.

La fecha exacta se confirmará a través de correo electrónico y la Selección Oficial será publicada en nuestras redes sociales.

Selection

The official selection will be programmed by Esto Es Para Esto’s team in our festival EIC 2026 special screenings, online screenings and/or in one or more later screenings, during Esto Es Para Esto’s - Exhibition of Cine screening activities. June 2026

We do not encourage film competition.

We’re not a traditional film festival.

One of our most important goals is to create a film archive with the screenings as a documentation of the curation and screening labor, plus the historic value that this means, looking forward to re-screen programmes and films in further venues. If you don’t want your film to be part of the Esto Es Para Esto’s Film Archive or if you want more information about it, please approach us when you submit your film.

Exact date will be confirmed and the Official Selection will be published in our social media.

Rules & Terms

Requisitos

1. Género, duración, temática y técnica son indistintos.

2. Los subtítulos en Español y/o Inglés son requeridos, en caso de que el film no esté en ninguno de esos idiomas.

3. Press kit: Stills, Póster, Sinopsis, Fotografía del/la autor/a, Información general (Dirección, Duración, Año de lanzamiento, País de origen)

4. Al enviar, el cineasta declara que es el propietario legítimo de su película.

5. Esto Es Para Esto (EEPE) se reserva el derecho de usar pequeñas porciones y fotografías de películas aceptadas para publicidad y promoción de las proyecciones y eventos futuros indefinidamente por cualquier medio posible (Digital y presencial).

6. Da su consentimiento y derecho a que EEPE y sus empleados o agentes presenten su película y la usen en los medios que sean posibles, exclusivamente para el propósito de mostrar y promover los ciclos de proyección de cine independiente de EEPE.

7. Otorga su consentimiento adicional para que su nombre e identidad puedan aparecer en un texto descriptivo de la proyección, menciones en redes sociales, de forma impresa y/o electrónica de manera pública y/o privada.

8. EEPE no paga de forma monetaria por ninguna proyección, seleccionada o posterior.

9. Declara tener al menos 18 años de edad, ha leído y entendido la declaración anterior, y es competente para ejecutar este acuerdo.

10. Las fechas, el lugar y la forma de exhibición están sujetas a cambios y serán definidas por ciclos para su proyección a lo largo del 2024.

11. Si es aceptado, se le pedirá que nos proporcione una copia digital de la película dentro de los 30 días del cierre de la convocatoria.

12. El comité de EEPE establecerá el calendario de las películas presentadas. También nos reservamos el derecho de designar la categoría/sección apropiada para cada proyecto y nombre de la muestra.

13. EEPE no cubre ningún tipo de gasto.

14. Uno de nuestros objetivos como colectivo es realizar un acervo cinematográfico de las proyecciones que hemos realizado a manera de preservar la memoria cinematográfica y con la posibilidad de proyectar de nuevo esos programas en funciones posteriores. Si usted no está de acuerdo en formar parte de nuestro acervo o quiere más información al respecto puede comentarlo en el momento de inscribir el material.

15. Como EEPE, realizamos funciones itinerantes de cine Local (De la ciudad de Monterrey) constantemente. Esto es independiente a las proyecciones del EIC o programas internacionales de las que podría formar parte su material.

Specifications

1. Genre, length, theme and format are your decision.

2. Spanish and/or English subtitles are required in case the film’s language is none of both languages.

3. Basic information about the film: Stills, Poster, Synopsis, Filmmaker’s photo and General information about the film (Director, Length, Year of release, Country)

4. When submitted, the filmmaker(s) declares themselves as the rightful owner(s) of their film.

5. EEPE will use stills, pictures and fragments of selected films for screening promotion purposes, publicity and promotion of future screenings and events indefinitely by any possible medium.

6. You give us your consent and accept that EEPE and their employees and/or agents have the right to screen your film and use it in every media in our possibilities exclusively for the purpose of screening and promoting independent film screening cycles programmed by EEPE.

7. You give us your consent to display your name and identity in a programme text for the screening and/or mentions in social media to exhibit this work in press and electronic media, public or private.

8. EEPE doesn’t pay in any monetary form for any screening, selected or posterior.

9. You declare that you have at least 18 years old, you’ve read and understood the previous statement and are competent to execute this agreement.

10. Screening dates, form and venue (if there were a physical one) are subject to changes and will be organized in cycles for their screening throughout 2024.

11. If your film is selected, you’ll be asked to provide to us a digital copy within a 30 days time frame.

12. The EEPE Committee will decide the calendarization of the screening programmes and the category/section for each project and every screening programme names.

13. EEPE does not cover any expenses.

14. One of our most important goals is to create a film archive with the screenings as a documentation of the curation and screening labor, plus the historic value that this means, looking forward to re-screen programmes and films in further venues. 15. As EEPE, we make constant Local screenings (From Monterrey city's filmmakers). This is independent from any EIC's screenings or international programmes you might be part of.

    EEPE es un festival que al ser íntimo, personal y con proyecciones en espacios alternativos invita y fomenta una convivencia y un diálogo que fortalece la comunidad cinéfila, tanto creativos como espectadores, lo que lo hace un punto de encuentro muy especial en el circuito independiente.
