Nato nel 2007 a Montefiascone (VT), Est Film Festival deve il suo nome al prodotto più celebre della città, il vino Est! Est!! Est!!!, uno dei brand enogastronomici più antichi al mondo.
Il festival affianca le sezioni competitive (per Lungometraggi di autori esordienti) alla vetrina degli Incontri Speciali; ogni proiezione è sempre accompagnata dall'autore per incontrare il pubblico al termine della visione nelle sezioni competitive, prima del film nelle sezioni non competitive.
Il concorso per Documentari si svolge a maggio, quello per Cortometraggi a gennaio.

Created in 2007 in Montefiascone (Viterbo), Est Film Festival is named after Est! Est!! Est!!! wine, the town's most famous product and one of the world's most ancient food and wine brand.
The Festival mingles competitve sections (feature film debut) with the showcase of special events such as meetings with prominent figures in filmaking's and arts' world.
Each and every screening is matched with an interview with the author, who meets the public after the competitve sections screening and introduces his/her work before the non competitive section screening.
The competition for Documentaries takes place in May, the one for Short Films in January.

Awards & Prizes

I premi in palio nel 2025 saranno l'Arco d'oro e 1000 euro per il Miglior Lungometraggio, un Arco d'argento e 500 euro per il Premio del Pubblico e per il Miglior Documentario, un Arco d'argento e 300 euro il Miglior Cortometraggio e per il Premio Scuole al Miglior Cortometraggio.

Five prizes are going to be awarded in 2025: the Golden Arch (worth 1000 euros) for the Best Feature Film, a Silver Arch (worth 500 euros) for the Public Prize and for the Best Documentary, a Silver Arch (worth 300 euros) for the Best Short Film and for the School Prize for Best Short Film.

Per l'edizione 2025, le selezioni dei cortometraggi in concorso avverranno tramite bando: è possibile iscriversi entro il 30 novembre 2024. I film devono essere di produzione o co-produzione italiana, realizzati dopo il 1° gennaio 2023 ed avere durata non superiore a 20'.
Per l'edizione 2025, le selezioni dei documentari in concorso avverranno tramite bando: è possibile iscriversi entro il 31 marzo 2025. I film devono essere di produzione o co-produzione italiana, realizzati dopo il 1° gennaio 2023 ed avere durata non inferiore a 40'.
I film della sezione riservata ai lungometraggi saranno selezionati su invito.

The Short Film selection for the 2025 edition will take place through a call for application, open until 30 November 2024. The selection is reserved to italian productions or co-productions, completed after 1 January 2023 and not over 20 minutes long.
