Ella Freigang (she/her) is an award-winning experimental video artist whose work employs practical effects, analog video distortion, green screen, and animation in an attempt to render a world as absurd as our own.
Ella holds a BFA in Film, Animation, and New Genres from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee where she was first introduced to experimental cinema.
Passionate about low/no budget filmmaking, Ella relies on a combination of DIY and digital effects to execute her visions. Hand painted backgrounds, paper mâché props, and puppets bring an undeniably human element to her work.
