The EDO STATE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL is a gathering of movie makers, investors, distributors, exhibitors, and industry enthusiasts from across the globe.

The festival is currently among the top sought-after Film Festivals globally. Since its maiden edition in 2022, it has continually attracted massive attention to not only the film industry but also the larger creative industry in Nigeria.

The festival has been hosted by the Governor of Edo State, Nigeria, His Excellency, Godwin Obaseki since its maiden edition in 2022 in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria.

The FESTIVAL equally hosts a variety of workshops, masterclasses, and special sessions, which provides a platform for upskilling delegates and bringing them up to speed with the latest trends in the film industry as well as providing resources for thousands of filmmakers and film enthusiasts, networking opportunities and a space to showcase their craft for marketing.

Films launched at the FESTIVAL have continued to gain critical recognition and reached worldwide audiences eager for fresh perspectives and new voices.

The rules and terms of the Edo State film festival shall be subject to the collective decisions of the festival managers in regards to creating an enabling environment for the festival planners.

All Non- English movies should be sub-tilted in English.

    It was a wonderful experience, I really enjoyed myself, the training and screening were superb, I learnt new things and experience more the rich cultural heritage of the Edo kingdom,

    It was a good experience, though I couldn't make it to the festival ground, I followed the activities online.
    Eventually my film brought home the award for best Short film Nigeria.
    Thanks to the organisers for such a beautiful first outing.
