Eco Screen Fest is a four-day educational film festival in Madeira, Portugal, which aims to raise awareness of increasing environmental challenges and inspire collective action for both the planet and its people.
At the intersection of environmental issues and human rights, Eco Screen Fest will use film and participatory art to spotlight the interconnectedness of environmental issues and social equity. From climate change to climate action, from fast fashion, biodiversity conservation and sustainable agriculture to environmental justice or climate-induced displacement, the festival looks to offer insights into how we have the power to shape the complicated relationships between climate change, social disparities, and the urgent need for climate justice.
Eco Screen Fest envisions an experience that goes beyond entertainment, fostering a sense of responsibility and collective action. Through film and educational activities, this festival aims to start conversations, inspire change, and contribute to a more sustainable and just future for both the planet and its people.
