The Earth Stories Film Festival is a multi-award winning, international film festival, founded by students and staff at Keele University. The film festival is aimed at young filmmakers up to the age of 25 years old (35 years old for Disability & Impairment Category). This is a student-led initiative that provides a platform for students and young filmmakers from across the world to articulate their concerns about the climate crisis.
Over the past four years, the festival has presented new and inspirational stories addressing the climate crisis, nature's degradation, and has highlighted pathways for sustainable futures through human-nature reconnections. This festival was originally funded by former Keele University students through the Alumni Keele Key Fund and continues to be funded by Alumni donors.

The Earth Stories Film Festival is doing an amazing work with their idea of supporting climate change. The organisers have been really supportive and responsive. I’m grateful to the team for giving us a platform to spread awareness on our shared interest in environment.
It’s an honour for my film to win the Best Fiction 2026 and more so, being a part of it alongside many other fantastic films!

Thanks a lot for your consideration! It would probably have been nicer to attend in person, but that's not always possible.

The Earth Stories festival offers an amazing opportunity for young people like me to express their love for our environment and our passion for filmmaking. My film had the honor of receiving a Special Mention, and I also had the chance to watch other candidates' films. It was a great experience.
