Lisa, Diana and everyone that works with Equus Film Festival are welcoming, supportive and pro-active from the moment they embrace your film. The 2018 Festival in Brooklyn had an amazing international feel hosting great films and filmmakers from around the globe.

  • Dorothy E. Chiotti

This was my first film festival and a great experience for me on so many levels ... Thank you, Lisa and Diana, for all the work you do to inspire and encourage artistes and filmmakers in sharing their stories of the horse, and for providing an amazing platform through which their messages can be seen and heard.

    December 2018
    Response from festival:

Thank you Dorothy, welcome to the herd!

  • It was great to be back again, after" the Story of Totilas" won last year The Winnie Award for best international documentary. The Prize generated a lot of international attention. May " Foul Play" follow. A story about a white collar criminal and his passion for Olympic Jumpers. Very happy to be rewarded as best international director for Foul Play. Keep up the good work Lisa Diersen! It was great that journalists of the New York Times attended the Equus Festival as well. Says it all. Annette van Trigt Filmmaker of the Netherlands.

Annette, your innate ability to weave interesting and intriguing equestrian stories covering everything from the Amish people and their horses to white collar criminals and their big money horses making the equestrian documentary something for everyone to view.
