Welcome to the Eastern Nigeria International Film Festival (ENIFF). ENIFF provides a dynamic platform for independent filmmakers, artists, and storytellers to showcase their talents in film and digital media.

ENIFF is not your average festival - we are a year-round celebration of creativity culminating in an annual event held every November. Our competition is fierce because we are committed to showcasing the best films from around the world. We also believe in empowering women in film, which is why we prioritise female filmmakers, and we celebrate diversity in all genres and styles, from narrative and documentary to experimental and animation.

But that's not all - we are on a mission to incubate and inspire the next generation of filmmakers and artists, with a focus on nurturing young African talent through a range of educational programs.

It's not just about the films, masterclasses, and workshops either - our legendary closing party is the stuff of legends. You will experience the best in Afro beats, mouthwatering cuisine, and the chance to network with Nollywood royalty. This is a party you don't want to miss!

We welcome film submissions from all over the world - let us help you share your vision with a global audience. Join us at ENIFF 2023 and let us REIMAGINE the future of film and art together!

At ENIFF, we take pride in recognizing the most creative and compelling independent films from around the world. Our annual festival celebrates the best in filmmaking, with awards presented in a variety of categories, including Narrative Feature, Narrative Short, Documentary (Feature & Short), Animation, Acting, Directing, and Cinematography.

We also offer a special Jury award for outstanding film, giving our esteemed jury committee the flexibility to recognize exceptional films that may not fit into a traditional category.

All submitted films automatically qualify for awards consideration, and winners are announced during our highly anticipated Closing / Awards Ceremony.

Don't miss your chance to be a part of this exciting celebration of independent film!

Submit your film today and show the world what you've got!

Here are a few rules and regulations you should take note of to ensure a smooth submission process:

The deadline for submission is August 31, 2023.

Make sure to comply with all the Entry Rules & Regulations, including film length, entry material, and other requirements.

All entries must be submitted online through filmfreeway.com, and we encourage you to attach a complete press kit. Our selection committee, comprising professional filmmakers and critics, will review your films in their entirety. Therefore, entries in foreign languages must have English subtitles.

* We accept films produced from January 2019 to date, and you must own or have been given all the rights to the submitted work. Multiple entries are allowed, and you can submit more than one film to the same category.

* We give priority to female filmmakers, but all applicants must follow the guidelines to be accepted.

* At our discretion, we may transfer your film to the correct category, and the screening committee will determine which films shall be screened. Please note that submission does not guarantee selection for screening, and all decisions of the committee are final.

* Once your film is an official selection, we will notify you by email.

* Winners will be presented with their awards during the ENIFF Awards Ceremony, which takes place at the festival in November 2023.

* We cannot be held liable for any lost or damaged materials, and the festival does not pay rental/screening fees for submitted works.

* By submitting your film, you grant permission to ENIFF to use clips of your film for promotional purposes. Moreover, you confirm that you have the rights to the project submitted and indemnify ENIFF of any legal action that may arise from the use of such content.

We look forward to receiving your submissions and celebrating your creativity during the festival.
