Conditions
A) To submit a film, the filmmaker must own the rights or have permission from the owner.
B) DCA accepts all film types. However, filmmakers need to apply the right category. If it is not in the right category the jury has a right to disqualify the film.
C) International registrations will be on https://filmfreeway.com/Dresdencinemaawards Entry fees are non-refundable.
D) DCA does not accept non-proper content such as extremist content or sexually explicit movies.
E) Filmmakers/Producer can submit their films in multiple categories.
F) The deadline, notification date, and event date can be changed by DCA.
G) The filmmaker agrees to give permission that DCA can use parts of their film such as teaser, poster, trailer, and director photo for promotional purposes.
H) In case of selection for the DCA event, the English or German subtitles (srt. files) should be sent by the filmmaker.
I) Any film that is not in English must have English subtitles.
J) DCA does not pay screening fees.
K) Selected films should provide higher resolution (at least 720p) of their films for screening.
L) For the official competition, not all the submissions will be selected. The jury decides the winners.
M) Not every submission is selected for monthly, annual, or special screening days. The jury decides the winners.
N) Dresden Cinema Awards judges decide the winners. Dresden Cinema Awards juries are free to make their own choices and no answers will be given about not selected films.
O) By entering your film for consideration into the DCA, you accept full legal responsibility for the intellectual property therein. The official submitter and all filmmakers associated with the film shall indemnify and hold harmless the DCA and any representative or affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening and loss of or damage to the data provided.
