Raised in Himalayan state of northern India (Uttarakhand) and academically trained in Journalism & Mass Communication and a Master degree in Sociology, Divyanshu Dobriyal brings a research-driven and human-centric perspective to his filmmaking.
With over 10 years of professional experience, he has worked on 100+ national and
international projects spanning television commercials, advertising films, branded
content, episodic television, and long-format web series, developing a strong command
over narrative structure, visual language, and production scale.
His storytelling favours minimal dialogue, observational realism, and quiet emotional
depth, often engaging with themes of belonging, displacement, and dignity.
Alongside independent cinema, Divyanshu has also directed government and institutional projects for public bodies, applying narrative sensitivity to policy communication, cultural initiatives, and purpose-driven storytelling, without compromising artistic integrity.
