District Cinema aims to screen and premiere short films created by students studying in the DMV area. We hope to give students in the capital area an artistic drive and voice that inspires creativity and excellent storytelling. Hosted at American University, we accept films of all genres and curate based off of entries. (Note: due to COVID, we may have to move our event date, or we may have to move the entire event online. Stay tuned for announcements.)

  • District Cinema is a great festival put on by American University's DKA chapter. The students are passionate and dedicated, and really make the whole experience worthwhile.

I hope to see it grow in success as COVID restrictions lift.
