What a humbling experience to be chosen to participate but then to go on and win 2 categories in Best screenplay 2nd place and Best character development. Then to be honorably mentioned in another and nominated for others. A writer wanting this bad for his career couldn’t ask for a better start. Thank you to all.

Simply being selected for the showcase was an honor, let alone winning in the category of Best Story. It was a great experience seeing those who were selected for the showcase and hearing from the various filmmakers. Great opportunities to grow together in the industry!

  • I am truly honored to have my first award and selection at the DF student showcase event. It was an awesome virtual experience to get to share my first official short film “Pushing Up Orchids!” I have received many invitations from festivals all around the world since winning and sharing my award for the film. Thanks so much LAFS!
