Diaspora Film Festival NewYork

Diaspora Film Festival New York DFFNY is organized by the Diaspora USA Inc. A non-profit organization who aims to uplift South Asian culture and arts. This year Diaspora Film festival New York (DFFNY) is going to celebrate its 2nd year on June 8th, 2024. The Theme of this year is Film against War!

DFFNY is a unique platform for new talent and celebration of cinematic creativity and innovation. Its is aimed to bring a new perspective to the culture and art life for not only South Asian and Indo-Caribbean but also the countries where South Asian diaspora communities live and prevailing the unifying power of cinema and art in societies.

Primary objectives of this festival is to make a bridge with the world's filmmakers especially the young underground filmmakers who are outstanding and influential to the future establish positive bonds both among themselves and with filmmakers and with the New York South Asian Indo-Caribbean community leading talented young people to art through cinema and providing them new opportunities.
The festival is open to any film in any genre under 20 minutes in length, and especially prioritizes low-budget films of independent spirit and exciting new talent.
