DemonCon 2022 is a Horror/Sci Fi/Fantasy convention and film festival celebrating independent short films from the midwest and around the United States.
The event will take place at the beautiful Varsity Center for the Arts in Carbondale, Illinois on Saturday, October 8th, 2022 from 3pm to 6pm.
The festivities will culminate w/ a LIVE stage performance of EVIL DEAD: The Musical by the Stage Company of Carbondale.
We are accepting all short films (under 30 minutes, but 20 minute or less run times are preferred) in the Horror/Fantasy/Sci Fi genres.
We encourage first time and low budget filmmakers to submit their work.
Horror is an expansive genre! We highly encourage diversity in submissions.
Carbondale sits at the heart of the breathtaking Shawnee National Forest. Come for the fest, stay for the beauty!
The Varsity Center for the Arts is a historic visual and performing arts venue.
Our panel of judges are experienced filmmakers and genre fans who love horror, fantasy and Sci Fi!
Awards will be given for Best of the Fest, Best Gore F/X, Best First Time Filmmakers and Best Low Budget (under $500.00)
