DTR TV Film Festival (DTRTVFF) is a monthly festival for filmmakers by filmmakers. Quarterly, we will be accepting submissions from all over the world. DTR TV Film Festival will showcase the works of Black or Brown filmmakers from around the world by providing a channel & app for Black creatives to be celebrated on. 

Our festival offers filmmakers a chance to win airtime on our DTR Television Roku, Fire TV Stick, Apple TV, and our mobile app on Google Play & Apple Store, a customized laurel, a trailer spotlight being played during one of our theatrical releases quarterly, an exclusive interview, and a film review. The main winner will be showcased at DTR TV big end of the year event.

Winners will be selected from every category.

Winners prizes include: 

- Official Selection Laurel

- Top in every category will receive a Top Laurel for best in their category.

- Showcased at DTR TV Film Festival End of the Year Award Ceremony

- Distribution deal with DTR TV to be aired on our Roku, Fire TV stick and Apple TV as well as both Google Play and Apple Store Apps. 

- Exclusive Interview.

- A Film Review

At the end of every year, DTR TV will be hosting a DTR TV Film Festival End of the Year Award Ceremony. 

All films selected are eligible for every category: 

The Best of DTR Festival Award (Narrative, Short, Series and Limited Series)

Audience Award (All Categories)

Critics Choice Awards (Narrative, Short, Series and Limited Series)

Down To Rock Music Video & Music Movie Award

Trailer Fest for Best put together Trailer for Films 

Animation Award (Features, Shorts and Series)

which will be determined by all directors, the people, and critics. 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

Eligibility Criteria Summary
- Director or writer and producer must be a person of Black or Brown descent.
- Entrants must be 18 years of age or older
- Competition is open to U.S. and International Entries.
- Films must be in the English Language or contain English-language subtitles.

Submission Materials
Each submission entails the following:
- Film Synopsis
- Photo still from the film
- Filmmaker (Director and/or writer and producer) Bio
- Filmmaker (Director and/or writer and producer) Picture
- A trailer (optional)

Payment of the submission fee online is required at the time of submission.

The undersigned, the authorized representative of the project named below (hereafter called the "Project") to DTRTVFF for consideration for the 2025 DTRTVFF (hereafter called the “Festival”), hereby acknowledges the following:

All submissions and selected entries will be handled with the utmost care. However, DTRTVFF cannot accept responsibility for losses, damages or additional charges incurred during shipping, due to file errors, due to authoring errors, due to normal wear and tear, or due to equipment failure.

DTRTVFF is not responsible for any claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) arising from or in connection with any claim (including those of third parties) involving music clearances, copyright, trademark, credits, publicity of any film submitted to or played on our Roku, Fire TV Stick, Apple TV, Google Play App, Apple Store App or websites.

Reproduction Agreement:
Submission grants DTRTVFF and its affiliates, permission for accepted films and original music videos (3 minutes maximum) and related marketing and promotional materials to be reproduced and distributed SOLELY for purposes of jurying, education, and promotion of the festival.

All filmmakers and/or artists who submit to DTRTVFF will be added to the festival general email list and DTRTVFF Institute mail list. If you do not wish to be on the mailing list send an email to DTRTelevision@gmail.com to unsubscribe.

Submission fees are non-refundable, and once submitted a film or original music video may not be withdrawn without a written request and then at the sole discretion of DTRTVFF.
