DJANHO ( you pronounce it “Jahneeo”) is a Curitiba slang to describe something devilish or astounding. Formerly known as Grotesc-O-Vision, this is Curitiba´s first horror and fantasy film festival. DJANHO ( you pronounce it “Jahneeo”) is a Curitiba slang to describe something devilish or astounding. It is a festival hosted by horror filmmakers to horror filmmakers. The festival will take place in mid-October 2022 and will hold outdoor and indoor screenings, as well as online at the Darkflix.com.br platform.
Screenings will take place in Curitiba at Cine Passeio, Cinemateca de Curitiba, Praça Zumbi dos Palmares and Praça dos Menonitas (subject to change).
The programme will present two of contemporary Brazilian horror and fantasy films, two of foreign horror and fantasy films without distribution in Brazil and ten Brazilian and foreign short films.
Submissions will open on June 6 and will remain open until July 26, 2022. The event will take place between October 13 and 23, 2022

A equipe de curadoria do DJANHO! É a mostra internacional e interbairros de cinema fantástico de Curitiba, piá! divulga a lista de filmes selecionados para integrar a mostra que acontecerá entre 13 e 23 de outubro em Curitiba, além da versão online na darkflix.com.br

A seleção é formada por quatro longas ( dois brasileiros e dois estrangeiros) e 32 curtas metragens (sendo 17 brasileiros e 15 estrangeiros). A amostra de trabalhos internacionais selecionados traz representantes da Martinica, Irã, Turquia, Chile, Israel, Itália, Estados Unidos, Reino Unido, Nova Zelândia, Canadá e Espanha.
