The Dunedin International Film Festival (DIFF) is a platform for filmmakers to share their original content with the Florida Film Maker Community. The festival is hosted throughout Downtown Dunedin from February 1st - 4th, 2024. Dunedin is a vibrant artist community committed to the development of arts and culture in Pinellas County. We accept films of all lengths, and they are organized by category. We specialize in stories that matter. In our 6th year, we've added an experimental category to include the outliers of creation.

#Diffestival will continue to develop the film community in Florida and bring awareness to Dunedin, Florida's growing arts and cultural community. We organize cinematic experiences and live performance entertainment for one week in the cultural corridor of Pinellas County, Dunedin, Florida, USA. Dunedin is a designated Florida Gulf Coast Hope Spot. Hope Spots are special places that are critical to the health of the ocean — Earth’s blue heart. DIFF is also a certified Ocean Allies partner.

DIFF 2024 is Accepting all lengths of films.

If your film is selected you agree to screen the film digitally on our private media browser during the festival year.

Films must be the original work of the applicants. If a film is based upon another person’s life or upon a book or other underlying work, applicant(s) must secure any necessary rights to make such adaptations. However, it is not necessary to submit the adaptation rights agreements to the Festival. Neither the Festival nor its jurists investigate or attests to the authenticity of an applicant’s statement of authorship or rights secured. By entering the competition, you represent that you have secured all necessary rights.
Applicants are solely responsible for obtaining all necessary rights and permissions for third-party materials included in their films, including but not limited to music, trademarks, logos, copyrights, and other intellectual property rights. DIFF expressly disclaims all liability or responsibility for any violations of the foregoing.

All entries must be in English or provide English subtitles to be considered.
Trailers and posters are strongly suggested to help with promoting the festival. Entries must have been completed no earlier than 2020 to be considered.
No refunds of submission fees.
For each accepted entry, the filmmaker will receive 2 all access passes to films.

Prizes awarded internationally, may require $50 donation to assist with international shipping costs (which often amount to several hundred American dollars each)
