You must be local to Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex and surrounding communities only and planning to attend the events in person.

Flash Films are our way of getting filmmakers together and cutting to the chase, filming!
Filmmakers are put into teams, and have 8 weeks to complete their film.

We believe the best way to learn is to do, and this is our way of pushing for that belief. We provide guidance and support to flash film teams, but ultimately let the filmmakers learn and grow through personal experiences.

We will vote on filmfreeway to determine the top scripts, then do a final in person vote on which screenplay(s) we will make into a film! Screenwriters will want to attend the kickoff, if possible, it's not required, however teams will start making the winning script right away and will make significant production and creative decisions at the kickoff.

Don't worry about being by yourself, we will help place you in a team.
If you already have some friends, bring them along and perhaps recruit other team members.

No Experience? No Problem!
This is also a great opportunity for filmmakers who want to try out a new position or make their very first film. We will guide each team towards completion to insure you have a complete film ready to screen.

We will not be selecting actors at this event.

SUBMIT YOUR SCREENPLAY!
Submit a short, 5-10 page screenplay that can be filmed within 8 weeks. Want a tip? Keep it simple!

We take pictures of participants and post them on social media, by participating, you agree to be photographed.
Follow all safety guidelines provided on the kickoff.
Films that are submitted by the deadline get to get screen at our Flash Film Screening.

Everyone is a volunteer, no one is paid, therefore our production agreement clarifies that every participant has equal rights to share the final film including using it in their reel, and posting to websites. The DFA may also share your project.
