CURIOSA es la Muestra Mensual de Cortometrajes de Granada, España. Proyectamos trabajos con calidad de festival de todo el mundo y de cualquier género cinematográfico, en colaboración con La Variable, un espacio multifuncional en el centro de la ciudad, el primer lunes de cada mes, excepto en agosto, septiembre y enero.

OFF Curiosa
Desde 2025 Curiosa se ha expandido con OFF Curiosa, una selección semestral dedicada exclusivamente a la videodanza y al teatro físico en cine.
A diferencia de la Muestra Mensual de Cortometrajes, no se aplican los plazos de inscripción mensuales. Los cortos deben ser de máximo 20 minutos de duración, incluyendo créditos. No se requiere estreno mundial. No se aceptan trabajos en proceso.
Nos interesan trabajos que trascienden el "movimiento por el movimiento", y que entienden la danza como un vehículo narrativo y expresivo en diálogo con el cuerpo y su lenguaje, la cámara y el montaje.
La segunda muestra de Off Curiosa será en mayo de 2026. Fecha exacta aún por confirmar.
La inscripción está abierta todo el año.

CURIOSA is The Monthly Short Film Showcase of Granada, Spain. We screen film festival-quality works from all over the world and in any genre, in collaboration with La Variable, a multifunctional space located in the city centre. Screenings take place on the first Monday of every month, except in August, September, and January.

OFF Curiosa
Since 2025 Curiosa had expanded with the launch of OFF Curiosa, a biannual selection exclusively dedicated to dance film and physical cinema.
OFF Curiosa is a biannual extension of the monthly showcase, with a curatorial focus exclusively on dance film. Unlike the Monthly Short Film Showcase, the monthly submission deadlines do not apply. Films must be no longer than 20 minutes in total, including credits. A world premiere is not required. Works-in-progress are not accepted.
We are interested in works that go beyond "movement for movement's sake", and that see dance as a narrative and expressive vehicle in dialogue with the body and its language, the camera, and the edit.
The third OFF Curiosa showcase will take place in October 2026. Exact date TBA.
Submissions are open throughout the year.
Open to filmmakers from all over the world.
