Overall Rating
  • I have had a 7 star experience being selected and then winning Best Narrative Short through Crown Point International Film Festival. My experience has been first class. It's bitter sweet as my Mum was Executive Producer on TYFL and she sadly passed away on 3rd May 2024, but I know that she is with me in spirit and is as proud as I am for this fabulous win. Thanks a million Crown Point International Film Festival for an extremely well run festival and of course for awarding Too Young For Love the accolade of being a winner. I am proud and so blessed to have entered your festival.

Not good at all, will be requesting refund from FF. Festivals have rules to follow on FF and this festival NEVER let us know by the notification date whether or not we were selected to be in or not. They are not allowed to just take your entry fees and you never hear anything back. They ignored letting us know and the festival date came and went. I had to look up on their website to see who got to participate and who won. DO NOT SUBMIT TO THIS FESTIVAL. Not professional at all. Am contacting Film Freeway for a refund on my entry fees.

    Response from festival:

We are sorry to hear this Mark. Your film "Vampire's Kiss" was an Official Selection for the monthly competition and that notification was sent on May 25th. If you log into your account you will see the Selected status (meaning Official Selection) and can verify with Filmfreeway the date the notification email was sent. We are saddened that you feel this way. Filmfreeway has informed us that you have judging status notifications disabled on your account. You can enable them within your account so you do don’t miss any future notifications.

"God is good. Thank You to the prestigious Crown Point International Film Festival for their award consideration win for my new humanitarian film entitled: “HUMANITY” for the children of Gaza. I worked so hard on this film to the brink of exhaustion. Because of its historic, sensitive (and some might say) controversial subject matter. I knew that it would be hard to get the funding I needed.
So I decided to forge ahead and fund and produce it myself.

As budding filmmakers, to have our work or passion projects reviewed and acknowledged by distinguished and reputable accomplished judges, is truly an honor in itself and in my opinion, this is what makes this festival all the more special. This acknowledgement my 2nd from India gave me the clarity and assurance to accept that I was spiritually led to produce the right project at the right time in our history. It also gave me the confidence to keep following my creative vision and instincts. To push the limits of music, art and cinema to the next level of greatness. I want to fly down so bad to be a part of their festival experience, if it's God's will, then it may happen.

I want to again thank the Crown Point International Film Festival for this award. And I look forward to submitting more of my work in the future. But to be honest I want no awards, fame or fortune for my film at all. My only hope is that it will help reconnect us all, back to our HUMANITY. Crown Point International Film Festival, I thank you for your Humanity. I proudly accept this award on behalf of the children of Gaza, who inspired my film" - Richard Oliver Jr.
