For three days in January, the Creemore Film Festival brings locals, filmmakers, and visitors together to experience some of the most compelling work being made by Canadian filmmakers today.
Screenings will take place in 3 locations throughout the village, inviting audiences to
move from venue to venue, gathering between films in cafés, restaurants, and our world famous Creemore Springs Brewery to talk about what they’ve just seen and what they are seeing next!
At its heart, the festival is about the simple but powerful experience of watching films
together. In a time when so much of our lives happens in isolation and online, cinema
still offers a rare opportunity for people of different backgrounds and generations to sit in the same room and share a story.
The Creemore Film Festival is dedicated entirely to Canadian filmmakers and
Canadian stories, creating a space where audiences can discover the depth, humour,
complexity, and imagination of film being made across the country.
The festival will also bring visitors to Creemore during the winter season, filling local
restaurants, shops, and gathering places and strengthening the village’s growing
reputation as a destination for arts and culture.
For one weekend each January, Creemore becomes a place where stories are
shared, ideas are exchanged, and community is built through the experience of film.
And we hope you’ll be part of it.
Come watch with us.
The Creemore Audience Favourite Award will go to the feature with the most audience votes, and will receive an encore presentation on the last night of the festival. All feature films will be considered eligible
