State of the Art Venues. 25K in Jury Prizes. Lodging Provided for ALL Official Selections. Iconic Grand Jury (see below). Industry Networking Events, Red Carpet Premieres, Panels, Parties and PITCHFEST! featuring 100K in prizes – we’re a film festival created by filmmakers for filmmakers.

Located in the stunning Reno-Tahoe region of Nevada, the Cordillera Int’l Film Festival prides itself on killer venues with packed houses – our Friday night screening is the only one that doesn’t take place in a luxury theater and that’s because it’s at an outdoor amphitheater, on the water, with an average audience of 2K!

As filmmakers, we understand we are all going through uncertain times, and choosing what festivals are worthwhile can be challenging. Since day one, Cordillera has provided the following to all our Official Selections – yes, all of them:

Lodging – What!? We know - it's awesome – and so is our host hotel!

Filmmakers Lounge – MEALS, SNACKS & DRINKS. The cost of meals can become challenging, so we provide 3 meals a day - every day of the festival. The lounge is a perfect place for Filmmakers, VIP Guests and Jury Members to meet-up for great conversations and enjoy drinks and snacks with a Hosted Wine & Beer bar.

5th Day Fun – Film Nevada Initiative VIP Experience - Official Selections are invited to join us on the Monday after the festival for an afternoon spent on the water and in the mountains, exploring beautiful Lake Tahoe as a VIP.

An extraordinary film festival with dedicated people running and attending. Great networking opportunities, great audiences, and just a spectacular experience.

  • I can't tell you how much I enjoyed my time at Cordillera. Emily, Denise and the gang do a great job from start to finish. It was the first film festival I have ever attended and everyone was freindly and very welcoming. I met a lot of wonderful people and saw some amazing films. I highly recommend CIFF to any filmmaker. I look forward to returning next year if they will have me.

The Cordillera Film Festival is far and away one of the best Festival experiences I've ever had. I cannot say enough good things about the experience or the people that gave their time and energies to make it what it is. Paul, Emily, Nate, Denise, Ryan, Kristoffer, Bret, the entire Board, Grand Jury, Special Jury, local filmmakers, sponsors and volunteers are all so clearly lovers of film and filmmakers. I'm incredibly grateful to have been a part of this festival and recommend whole heartedly every filmmaker submit and try and be a part of future years.

From day one, you arrive and the board members are there serving hors d'oeuvres themselves. I was so taken by that gesture, but then there followed countless examples of their kindness, caring, humility and good will. At each turn, they went more than the extra mile to make sure the experience was inclusive and the very best it could be. I feel very fortunate to have been included and to have gotten to spend time with this group of organizers, filmmakers and film loves. Utterly humbled by the whole experience.

A few highlights include: Unprecedented access to Grand Jury members in a relaxed atmosphere, screenings in a state of the art commercial cinema (Galaxy Theaters), fantastic events and program curation (Paul Sloop you're the best), parties, pitch fest, trampoline park, transportation (Thank you Bill Pearce), complimentary nights of lodging at the Whitney Peak Hotel, catered Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, an incredible Lake Tahoe day with a catamaran trip around the lake and beautiful sunset lawn party at a jaw dropping estate. Just top to bottom excellence. You definitely want to be a part of this fest! Highly recommend.

Great festival, amazing networking and communication. Online and live events.

One of the absolute best festival experiences that I've ever had in my filmmaking journey. Apart from the genius programming of some of the best curated line up of films all because of Paul Sloop and the other programmers, what took this festival even further was that you can see and experience that the Cordillera board members, event planners and the programmers absolutely are invested in artists. They care and the proof was in the pudding.

With three nights of lodging covered by the festival, food and drinks included night and day, the events, the workshops, the award ceremonies and parties made this experience one in the books.

The Lake Tahoe experience on the last day, where all of the attendees are served a delicious lunch then are taken on a 2 hour boat ride and shown the entirety of Lake Tahoe along with an all inclusive dinner at one of the most gorgeous and expensive homes ever, just sealed the deal and was the icing on the cake.

Networked with so many great and talented artists as well. This festival made so many memories and great friendships that we will all foster for the rest of our lives. :)
