The Copper Quill Awards are a high quality screenplay and teleplay competition for filmmakers, by filmmakers, designed to show appreciation for writers who have put in the work to hone their craft.

It's very simple. We have three annual categories: Feature Screenplay, Short Screenplay, Teleplay, open to writers all over the globe.
We don't do seasonal competitions, we don't upsell 'services', and we don't charge winners for trophies (or shipping, for that matter).

The Copper Quill Awards are where a handful of accomplished and award-winning screenwriters want to recognize and celebrate other great writers in the world who possibly haven't gotten their due.

As far as credibility is concerned, our founders have won over 100 film festivals and screenwriting competitions between them. They've written, produced and directed nearly ten feature films that are currently live in the marketplace across numerous global platforms. And, most importantly, they know what's important to you, the writers, in entering competitions such as ours.

Each category will have an annual winner who will receive, at absolutely no cost to them, an artisan-designed, customized trophy that you'll be damn proud to display (valued at $800 each). On top of that, the winners in each category will be given a cash prize ($1,000 for Best Feature and $500 each for Best Short and Best Teleplay).
Here's a kicker: All finalists will receive $100, as well.

Additionally, all semifinalists, finalists and winners will receive a custom laurel for each respective phase of the competition.

1. We will announce Quarterfinalist, Semifinalist, Finalists and Winners for each category
2. All Semifinalists and beyond will be provided with a customized laurel
