Founded in 2012, the Copenhagen Short Film Festival exists to champion short film as a distinct and vital art form in its own right. We present bold storytelling across genres and formats, creating a platform where filmmakers and audiences can connect, spark dialogue, and celebrate the transformative power of short cinema.

CSFF is the only film festival in Copenhagen focusing exclusively on the short film format. We look for films where risk is taken, form is challenged, and new voices emerge. During festival events and screenings, you can meet filmmakers, other short film enthusiasts, as well as industry professionals.

The 13th edition of Copenhagen Short Film Festival will take place from November 5 - 8, 2026.

Rules & Terms

Læs venligst følgende regler inden du tilmelder din film.

* Til vores open call 2026 accepterer vi KUN danske kortfilm, herunder også danske co-produktioner.
* Vi accepterer kortfilm (max. 40 min. inkl. rulletekster).
* Du kan tilmelde flere typer film (dokumentar, animation, live action, børnefilm, eksperimental, mv.), dog accepterer vi ikke reklamer eller andre typer promoverings videoer.
* Din film skal være fra 2025 eller 2026.
* Din film må meget gerne have engelske undertekster - det er ikke et krav til open call, men hvis din film bliver udvalgt, skal vi modtage en udgave af filmen med engelske undertekster.

Når du tilmelder din film til Copenhagen Short Film Festival accepterer du at:

* filmskaber er indehaver af alle rettigheder til filmen, og at der ikke er tvist om rettigheder til hele eller dele af filmen, herunder evt. tredjemands rettigheder.
* CSFF teamet vælger hvor og hvornår filmen vises inden for festivalperioden.
* CSFF kan bruge materiale fra filmen (f.eks. klip fra filmen, trailer og billeder) til at promovere visningen og festivalen (såsom festival trailer, plakater og programmer).

Hvis en tilmelding ikke opfylder de ovennævnte regler, bliver tilmeldingen diskvalificeret.

CSFF accepterer kun filmtilmeldinger gennem FilmFreeway.
