1. OBIETTIVI E FINALITA’

Conca Film Festival è una manifestazione culturale che ha l’obiettivo di promuovere gli artisti emergenti attraverso un dialogo con il territorio del parco regionale di Roccamonfina.

2. ENTI PROMOTORI E SVOLGIMENTO

Il promotore di Conca Film Festival è il Comune di Conca della Campania con il supporto tecnico ed artistico dell’Associazione Culturale Studio Azzurro Ricerca - STRIAZ.
La manifestazione è una delle 10 Iniziative del progetto “Ruralità, biodiversità e innovazione” per il quale il Comune di Conca della Campania è stato finanziato dal Ministero della Cultura nell’ambito dei “PROGETTI LOCALI DI RIGENERAZIONE CULTURALE E SOCIALE” – PNRR M1C3 - INTERVENTO 2.1 - ATTRATTIVITÁ DEI BORGHI STORICI. Il Festival avrà luogo dal 1 al 3 Settembre 2023. Le premiazioni avranno luogo durante la serata del 3 Settembre.

3. TEMA

Il tema scelto per la prima edizione di Conca Film Festival è

OLTRE LA FORMA – POETICHE DELLA TRASFORMAZIONE

Raccontare la metamorfosi significa rivolgere lo sguardo al continuo passaggio di forme differenti in cui il vivente si trasforma di volta in volta.
Dai semi che si fanno piante per poi divenire fiori, alle pietre che sgretolandosi divengono granelli erranti, passando per le innumerevoli forme che ognuno attraversa dal momento della nascita per tutta la sua vita.

La metamorfosi non coinvolge solamente il territorio e gli esseri che lo popolano, ma anche i rapporti che ognuno di noi intrattiene: ad esempio con il paese di nascita o con amici e famiglia. Potremmo chiamarle metamorfosi delle relazioni, dove “una relazione non è né un evento, né una semplice concatenazione di eventi, ma un processo in continua creazione nel tempo” (Tim Ingold).

Il mondo non è che una continua altalena. Esso procede incerto e vacillante, per una naturale ebbrezza. Siamo in cerca di cortometraggi che raccontino il continuo mantenersi della vita in forme diverse.

1. OBJECTIVES AND AIMS

Conca Film Festival is a cultural event that aims to promote emerging artists through a dialogue with the territory of the Roccamonfina Regional Park.

2. PROMOTERS AND DEVELOPMENT

The promoter of Conca Film Festival is the Municipality of Conca della Campania with the technical and artistic support of the Cultural Association Studio Azzurro Ricerca - STRIAZ.
The event is one of the 10 Initiatives of the project "Rurality, Biodiversity and Innovation" for which the Municipality of Conca della Campania has been funded by the Ministry of Culture under the "LOCAL PROJECTS OF CULTURAL AND SOCIAL REGENERATION" - PNRR M1C3 - INTERVENTION 2.1 - ATTRACTIVITY OF HISTORIC VILLAGES. The Festival will take place from September 1-3, 2023. The awards will take place during the evening of September 3.

3. THEME

The theme that the artistic direction has chosen for the first edition of the Conca Film Festival is:

BEYOND THE SHAPE – TRANSFORMATION POETICS

Describing and telling metamorphosis means to look at the continuous flow of different shapes in which living beings change each time.
Seeds become plants and then flowers, stones crumble and become wandering grains, going through the innumerable forms that everyone passes from the moment of its birth until the end of its life.

Metamorphosis does not concern only land and the beings who dwell in it, but also everything we are related and connected to: for example our relationship with the birth place, our friends and family.
We could call them metamorphosis of relationships, in which “a relationship is neither an event, nor a simple sequence of events, but a continuous process across time” (Tim Ingold)

The world is a perpetual see-saw: it proceeds unsteady and faltering due to a natural inebriation. We are looking for short films, which show the continuous conservation of life in different forms.

4. PREMI

La giuria sarà composta da professionisti del settore audiovisivo e artistico.
La decisione della giuria sarà irrevocabile.
La giuria si impegnerà a consegnare un massimo di tre premi:

• 1° Premio della Giuria: 300 € + Trofeo
• 2° Premio della Giuria: 300€ + Trofeo
• 3° Premio della Giuria: 300€ + Trofeo

Anche il pubblico presente alle serate avrà la possibilità di votare il miglior cortometraggio.

• Premio del Pubblico: Trofeo

The jury will include professionals from the filmmaking world, media, and teaching.
The jury's decision will be irrevocable.
The jury will award a maximum of three prizes:

• 1° Jury Prize: 300 € + Trophy

The audience attending the evenings will also have a chance to vote for the best short film.

5. MODALITA’ DI PARTECIPAZIONE

La partecipazione è aperta a tutti i filmmaker, producers e studenti di ogni nazionalità ed età. Possono essere iscritti al presente bando film cortometraggi documentari, di finzione, animazione, sperimentali con le seguenti caratteristiche:

· durata massima di 30 minuti;
· completati dopo il 1° gennaio 2020;
· Saranno accettati film in ogni lingua. I film né in italiano né in inglese dovranno avere i sottotitoli in inglese.

6. MATERIALE NECESSARIO

I film selezionati dovranno inviare il seguente materiale di comunicazione relativo al film entro cinque giorni lavorativi dopo la comunicazione ufficiale di selezione, pena l’esclusione dal programma del festival:

· Tre foto in alta definizione (min 1920x1080) in .jpg.
· Sinossi del film (max 2000 battute).
· Crediti completi del film.
· Paese/i di produzione.
· Foto in primo piano del regista (min 1920x1080).
· Breve biografia del regista (max 2000 battute).

Per permettere la proiezione, il film dovrà essere inviato, tramite WeTransfer, quando richiesto, in formato H264 con un peso massimo di 2gb.

7. DIRITTI

I partecipanti dichiarano che il film presentato è di loro proprietà e che i diritti di proiezione pubblica non sono stati trasferiti a terzi. I partecipanti si assumono ogni responsabilità per qualsiasi reclamo o richiesta da parte di terzi, amministrativa, giudiziaria o di altra natura, relativa alla proprietà intellettuale o ai diritti di proiezione del film presentato.

I partecipanti concedono gratuitamente la proiezione del proprio film all’evento Conca Film Festival e l'utilizzo di spezzoni a fini promozionali anche nelle future edizioni del Festival.

8. AVVISO

Il Comune di Conca della Campania e l’Associazione Culturale Studio Azzurro Ricerca - STRIAZ non saranno responsabili per imprevisti che potrebbero ostacolare o posticipare il Festival e le sue attività, come la proiezione dei film o il lavoro della giuria. Inviando il tuo film al Concorso dichiari e attesti di aver letto, compreso e accettato queste regole e linee guida.

5. MODALITIES OF PARTICIPATION

Participation is open to all filmmakers, producers and students of all nationalities and ages.
Short films with the following characteristics can be entered in this call:

· maximum duration of 30 minutes;
· completed after January 1, 2020;
· Films in any language will be accepted. Films in neither Italian nor English must have English subtitles.

6. MATERIAL NEEDED

Selected films must submit the following film-related communication materials within five working days after the official selection announcement:

• Three high definition photos (min 1920x1080) in .jpg.
• Synopsis of the film (max 2000 characters).
• Full credits of the film.
• Country(ies) of production.
• Close-up photo of the director (min 1920x1080).
• Brief biography of the director (max 2000 characters).

To allow the screening, the film must be sent in Apple Pro Res 422 format 1920x1080.

7. RIGHTS

Participants declare that the submitted film is their property and that the public screening rights have not been transferred to third parties. Participants assume all responsibility for any claim or demand by third parties, administrative, judicial or otherwise, relating to the intellectual property or screening rights of the submitted film.

Regarding the screening of films submitted during Conca Film Festival, while ownership of the intellectual property of the work is guaranteed, there is no screening fee.
Participants grant, free of charge, the projection and the use of clips of their work for promotional purposes in future editions of the Festival.

8. NOTICE

the Municipality of Conca della Campiania and the Cultural Association Studio Azzurro Ricerca - STRIAZ will not be responsible for unforeseen events that could hinder or postpone the Festival and its activities, such as film screenings or the work of the jury. By submitting your film to the Competition you declare and certify that you have read, understood and accepted these rules and guidelines.
