The Climate Change Film Festival (CCFF) aspires to be the first competitive short film festival in Greece with a focus on the phenomenon of climate change. The objective of the CCFF is to disseminate scientifically reliable information and raise awareness related
(3) to all active citizens, (with the aim of providing them with the appropriate scientific knowledge, in order to artistically express their concern about climate change).
The main aim is to persuade the citizen communities and stakeholders, in order to commit ambitious actions for the climate and to undertake relevant obligations. In addition, the strengthening of the active participation of the citizens and the reproduction of environmental messages for the protection of the climate are considered important.

The winners will be selected by a 5-member evaluation committee which will consist of members of the scientific and artistic team of the CCFF and an independent evaluator, from the Municipality of Moschato Tavros.
There will be three winners, one of each category. Each winner will receive a 1000,00 € prize.

The “Municipality of Moschato-Tavros”, in partnership with the Urban Social Cooperative “ANAPNOE”, in GREECE, organize the first Climate Change Film Festival (CCFF).
The Climate Change Film Festival (CCFF) aspires to be the first competitive short film festival in Greece with a focus on the phenomenon of climate change. The objective of the CCFF is to disseminate scientifically reliable information and raise awareness related to climate action (adaptation to climate change and climate change mitigation), combining at the same time the art expression.

It is adressed to:
(1) members of the student community (mainly 13-18 years old),
(2) members of the schools of acting and directing - NGOs active in the field of environment or in the sector of arts & cinema
(3) to all active citizens, (with the aim of providing them with the appropriate scientific knowledge, in order to artistically express their concern about climate change).
The main aim is to persuade the citizen communities and stakeholders, in order to commit ambitious actions for the climate and to undertake relevant obligations. In addition, the strengthening of the active participation of the citizens and the reproduction of environmental messages for the protection of the climate are considered important.
As part of the festival, the above (3) groups or individuals are invited to produce a short film lasting 2 to 8 minutes which, upon selection, will take part in the competition, Climate Change Film Festival (CCFF).
The criteria for selecting the best video will be the relevance to the theme, the creativity and originality of the work produced, the degree of emotional involvement of the creator, the aesthetics and technical aspects of the video.
In this context,
♦ The preparation of the short films concerns the period December 2021 until August 2022.
♦ The evaluation of the films will take place from August 2022 to October 2022.
The projects must be delivered until Wednesday 31 August 2022, by e-mail: climatechangefilmfest@gmail.com
The winners will be selected by a 5-member evaluation committee which will consist of members of the scientific and artistic team of the CCFF and an independent evaluator, from the Municipality of Moschato Tavros.
All involved participants can use material that will be posted on the website WWW.CCFF.GR
The selected videos will be posted on the website www.CCFF.GR and will be presented at the festival.
It is noted that the participation of students in the CCFF is optional and is done with the written consent of their parents. The entire CCFF (implementation, award, disclosure) will be implemented in accordance with the rules of ethics to ensure personal data and copyright.
It is noted that the competition will be carried out in strict compliance with the instructions for protection against COVID -19.

THE 3 PHASES OF CLIMATE CHANGE FILM FESTIVAL
1) EDUCATION-AWARENESS: Through the organization of climate seminars (adaptation to climate change - mitigation of climate change) and art workshops
2) CLIMATE AND ARTISTIC GUIDANCE: Seminar for environmental and artistic guidance
3) SELECTION OF SHORT FILMS: Project Evaluation & Closing Event - Screening of Films - Award Winners in a Special Closing Event

There will be three winners, one of each category. Each winner will receive a 1000,00 € prize.
