About The "CIRCLE ART FILM AWARD" First Edition, Celebrating for the Short Films.

"Circle Art Film Company" was born in 2005 by Amirhossein Makouei. This company has produced and distributed many independent films. But in 2022, this company decided to launch an International Independent Short film festival called "Circle Art Film Award", which can start its activities with the beginning of the First Edition 2024 by providing highly professional infrastructure.
It is an independent film festival and supports professional and emerging filmmakers in the field to broadcast and promote their films in the form of an event.

The "CIRCLE ART FILM AWARD" is an exciting new International Short Film festival that celebrates the best in Horror/Mystery, Action/Thriller and Drama Genre.

Our festival is designed to support emerging and established filmmakers from around the world, giving them a platform to showcase their work and compete for prestigious awards and recognition.

To participate in the festival, filmmakers must submit their films through the FilmFreeway platform and pay a submission fee of $10 per film. The films will be reviewed by a panel of expert judges, who will evaluate them based on criteria such as story, cinematography, sound, and overall impact. The winners of competition will receive prizes and recognition, with a grand prize awarded to the best film of the festival.

The “CIRCLE ART FILM AWARD” is proud to offer a range of awards and certificates to recognize the outstanding achievements of participating filmmakers. Our festival's awards are designed to celebrate excellence in storytelling, cinematography, sound design, and other key aspects of filmmaking.

In addition to Certificate and Trophies, winners will receive certificates of achievement and recognition from the festival.

In Each competition will award prizes to the top films in various categories, which may include Best Short Film, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Actor, Best Actress, and other categories specific to the genre of the season.

Additionally, all Official selected films will receive a certificate of participation from the festival, recognizing their achievement and contribution to the festival's success. These certificates will be available to download from the festival's website after the completion of competition.

The Circle Art Film Award is an International short film festival that celebrates the best in Drama, Action/Thriller and Horror/Mystery filmmaking. The following rules and terms apply to all filmmakers who wish to participate in the festival:

Submission Rules:
1- The festival is open to filmmakers of all nationalities in all World.
2- The festival accepts short films with a runtime of up to 15 minutes.
3- The festival only accepts Short Fiction films (No documentary, No experimental, No feature) in the Drama, Action/Thriller and Horror/Mystery genres.
4- The films must have been completed after January 1, 2021.
5- The films must not have been previously submitted to this festival.

Submission Process:
1- All films must be submitted through the FilmFreeway platform.
2- The submission fee for each film is $10 USD in Earlybird Deadline.
3-The submission fee is calculated at the Extended Deadline $11 USD and Late Deadline of $12 USD.
4- Filmmakers must provide all requested information, including a synopsis, cast and crew information, Trailer, still image and Poster.
5- The films must be submitted in English or with English subtitles.
Note: The festival does not accept works-in-progress or rough cuts.

Judging Process:
1- All films will be reviewed by a panel of expert judges.
2- The judges will evaluate the films based on criteria such as story, cinematography, sound, and overall impact.
3- The winners will be selected based on the judges' scores.
4- The festival reserves the right to disqualify any film that violates the festival's rules or terms.
5- Any violent, brutal and offensive scenes in the submitted Films will be deemed irrelevant and disqualified by the jury.

Rights and Permissions:
By submitting a film to the festival, the filmmaker agrees to allow the festival to screen the film online during the festival period.
The filmmaker retains all rights to their film.
The filmmaker warrants that they have obtained all necessary rights and permissions to use any copyrighted material in their film.
The filmmaker grants the festival the right to use still images and excerpts from their film for promotional purposes.

Festival Dates and Venue
1- The films are first reviewed by the jury and during the festival, then the selected films in competition, are screened in the cinema hall.
2- The festival reserves the right to change the dates and times of the festival, and to cancel or postpone the festival for any reason. Of course, in case of any possible changes, this issue will be reported to the filmmakers.

Agreement to Rules and Terms
1- By submitting a film to the festival, the filmmaker agrees to comply with all festival rules and terms.
2- The festival reserves the right to modify or amend the rules and conditions at any time and inform the filmmakers. Therefore, any changes or corrections will be binding for all filmmakers who submitted a film to the festival.
