Cine Vista Oasis Film Awards is an international film festival celebrating creativity, diversity, and cinematic excellence across narrative films, documentaries, short films, screenplays, music videos, and more. The festival provides a global platform for storytellers from all backgrounds to showcase their work, connect with audiences, and gain industry recognition.

Filmmakers are judged based on artistic merit, technical execution, originality, and storytelling impact. The festival values innovation and passion, aiming to highlight fresh voices in cinema as well as established creators.

IMDb Qualification & Update Policy

Cine Vista Oasis Film Awards is an IMDb-qualified event and maintains an official IMDb presence.

However, the festival does not update or manage individual filmmaker projects or credits on IMDb. Since only filmmakers or authorized representatives can create and control their IMDb listings, all IMDb updates must be handled directly by the filmmaker.

Once a project receives its official festival status (Selected / Finalist / Award Winner), filmmakers are responsible for updating their own IMDb pages accordingly.

The festival will not create, edit, or submit IMDb credits on behalf of participants.

This policy exists because submitted film or screenplay titles are often not listed on IMDb at the time of submission. Additionally, only the filmmaker or an authorized representative can create or manage an IMDb listing. If a filmmaker does not already have an IMDb profile, the listing and verification process requires direct action from them. Therefore, all responsibility for updating IMDb credits rests solely with the filmmaker.

Recognition Includes:

✔ Official festival laurels for all recognized projects
✔ Certificates and Laurels for Finalists and Winners
✔ Showcase on the festival platform
✔ Promotional support including posters and social publicity

1. Submission Policy

All films, scripts, and projects must be submitted exclusively through the official FilmFreeway platform.

By submitting, the applicant confirms that:
-They own all rights to the submitted project.
-All necessary permissions, licenses, and clearances have been obtained.
-The festival bears no legal responsibility for copyright disputes.
-Films in languages other than English must include English subtitles.

2. Notification Dates & Email Responsibility

All official status updates, including: Selected, Finalist, Award Winner are communicated strictly through FilmFreeway email notifications.

These notifications are sent directly by the FilmFreeway system and not from the festival’s personal email address.

The official FilmFreeway notification email includes:
-The project status update
-The official Laurel download link
-Filmmakers must download their Laurel directly from the link provided within that FilmFreeway email.

Participants are strictly responsible for:
-Regularly checking their registered FilmFreeway email address
-Monitoring spam/junk folders
-Carefully reviewing all notifications sent between the official Notification Date and Event Date

Failure to check FilmFreeway notifications during this period does not constitute festival responsibility.

If a filmmaker contacts the festival several months (6 months or more) after the event claiming they did not receive their status update or Laurel, the first verification will be whether FilmFreeway notification emails were properly checked.

The festival will not resend Laurel links separately unless a verified internal technical error is confirmed.

3. Certificate Issuance Policy

Certificates are not sent via FilmFreeway.

All certificates are issued exclusively from the festival’s official personal email address as listed on the FilmFreeway page.

Certificates are sent within one (1) or one and half month after the official Event Date.

This timeframe is required for:

- Sorting all recognized projects
- Preparing category-specific certificates
- Final verification and documentation

If a filmmaker claims several months after the event that they did not receive their certificate, and the festival’s official email records confirm that the certificate was sent within the one-month issuance period, the festival holds no obligation to reissue the certificate.

However, if internal records confirm that the certificate was not sent due to an error from the festival’s side, corrective action will be taken.

4. Laurel & Certificate Claim Policy

All Laurels are delivered through FilmFreeway notification emails.
All Certificates are delivered through the festival’s official personal email address.

If a filmmaker claims non-receipt of Laurel or Certificate, but official tracking records confirm that:
-FilmFreeway notification was sent
-Laurel link was delivered
-Certificate was issued within the official timeframe

the festival reserves the right to take strict action.

False claims or misrepresentation against official communication records will be considered a breach of integrity. The festival reserves the right to:
• Update the project status on FilmFreeway
• Revoke recognition
• Mark the project as rejected due to policy violation

5. Review & Feedback Policy

The festival may, at its sole discretion, provide a complimentary professional review or interview to exceptionally outstanding projects without any additional fee.

This complimentary service is granted only when a project significantly impresses the jury panel.

Apart from this exceptional case:
• Any detailed review, critic analysis, or professional feedback requested by participants will be considered a paid service.
• No review or interview will be provided free of charge unless initiated by the festival itself.

6. Final Decision Clause

All decisions made by the jury and festival management are final and non-negotiable.

The festival reserves the right to:

• Modify categories
• Adjust award structure
• Update dates or policies when necessary

By submitting to the festival, participants agree to all rules and regulations stated above.
