The Cinema Studios International Film Festival encourages and supports the growing number of people interested in film. Created and run by a group of passionate film makers who's goal is to grow more open lines of communication within the film word, this festival aims to encourage and reward the accomplishments of like-minded filmmakers who aim to create interesting and boundary-pushing content. This festival is for anyone who is passionate, hard working, and knows what it takes to make a great movie, short, or piece of artwork.

When the creator of this festival was in college, it seemed almost impossible to start making bigger connections in the film world. A lot of people were secretive about the way they made connections and seemed to only want to further themselves. This festival was created to break out of the notion that film making is filled with people clawing their way to the top and to integrate a more open and helpful environment where filmmakers can collaborate and work with each other.

All of our Cinema Studios finalists get their place in the official website catalog, which will have an area for filmmakers to discuss and share tips and opinions, ask questions to other filmmakers who were selected, and overall have some open communication with other like-minded individuals! And of course, all of our finalists are automatically in the running for our AWARDS AND PRIZES!

Our main goal is to bring film into a new era of open collaboration, and to invite more people in to learn about the incredible world of film making!

The Cinema Studios International Film Festival selections will be judged and decided on by award-winning filmmakers working in the industry. The website will have links to great articles and information on everything film making, and will eventually host the finalists and an open discussion between any willing filmmakers for a chance to meet, talk, collaborate, and share experiences.

So whether you're a finalist or not, the festival will be a blast all around!

BEST SHORT FILM
A laurel and certificate for the creator that most exemplifies the Cinema Studios Film Festival ideals and has outstanding work overall.

BEST CONCEPT
A laurel and certificate for the most outstanding music video.

BEST DIRECTING
A laurel and certificate for the most outstanding directing in a short film.

BEST STUDENT FILM
A laurel and certificate for the most outstanding student film.

BEST SCRIPT
A laurel and certificate for the most outstanding writing in a short or feature.

BEST PRODUCTION DESIGN AWARD
A laurel and certificate for the most outstanding production design in a short film.

BEST ALTERNATE CONTENT AWARD
An honorary award for the best content that just doesn't fit the conventional category mold.

Honorable Mention Award
A certificate awarded to a few incredible, talented creators that were contenders for other categories of award. For achievements in excellent film making overall.

Rules & Terms

-By submitting to the festival you confirm that you own the rights of the film, including the rights to the music in the film.

-Filmmakers may submit multiple entries as long as each film is submitted with its own Entry Form, Online Screener and paid Entry Fee.

-Each accepted film must be submitted in the .mp4 or .mov format, preferably.

-All entries should be sent via FilmFreeway with a secure Online Screener.

-There is no minimum running time.

-All genres are welcome (narrative, animated, experimental, documentary or music video).

-If submitted as a student entry, some form of proof of being a student must be provided (either a student ID or recent transcript.)
