REGULATION "CINECIOK 2024"
THEME 2024 The theme of "CINECIOK 2024" is "CHOCOLATE, CACAO, AND FOOD."
WORKS ADMITTED The works that can participate in the competition are:
• SECTION FOR DOCUMENTARIES – films (published or unpublished) on stories and events inspired by the theme specified in the first point (THEME 2024) of this announcement, with a maximum permitted duration of 60 minutes.
• SECTION FOR SHORT FICTION AND ANIMATION – short films and animations (published or unpublished) on stories and events inspired by the theme specified in the first point (THEME 2024) of this announcement, with a maximum permitted duration of 20 minutes.
DEADLINE The deadline is October 31, 2024.
SELECTION AND FINAL EVENT The final results of the selection will be communicated to the participants via email. The date and time of the screenings at the festival will be notified in the same way.
EXCLUSION The organization reserves the right to exclude works that do not respect the professionalism of the Festival.
CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION AND REGISTRATION TERMS All works must be sent to cineciok@gmail.com. The files must include the following attachments:
A form with the following information: title, section, duration, director’s name; production company (if any), address of the director and the production (street, city, phone, fax, email), a short video presentation (max. 500 characters, including spaces);
A declaration, with date and signature, in which the participant declares:
I have read and subscribe to the entire Regulation of "CINECIOK 2024";
I authorize, in accordance with law 675/96 and Leg. Decree 196/03 on the protection of personal data, the use of personal data for any purpose connected with the Festival and the dissemination of data relating to the authors of the works to the press for promotional purposes related to the competition;
I authorize the screening of the works and the diffusion (TV, online) of the same for promotional purposes related to the contest, waiving copyright in this case;
A self-certified statement signed by the parents granting broadcasting rights for minors who may appear in the video. There is no travel reimbursement for participants on the day of the screening. The copies sent for participation in the contest will not be returned and will become part of the video archive of "CINECIOK 2024" hosted by CINETECA MODICANA.
LIABILITY The organization declines any liability for loss or damage of the material submitted. Additionally, the organization will not be responsible for any theft or loss of the works at its offices. It is the responsibility of the authors, if they use text, music, and images covered by copyright in their video footage, to obtain the necessary releases. The organization declines any responsibility. The authors assume full responsibility for the material shot and edited (audio and video) for the creation of the works and for the truthfulness of the statements.
CHANGES TO THE REGULATION The Festival reserves the right to modify this regulation for reasons of force majeure or for its improvement. Any changes will be promptly communicated to the participants.
ACCEPTANCE OF RULES Participation in the competition implies full acceptance of these rules.
AWARDS The following prizes will be awarded:
Section for Documentaries: BEST DOCUMENTARY.
Section for Short Fiction and Animation: BEST FICTION and BEST ANIMATION.
