The festival is held at the modern Tokyo Theater ‘Cinema House Otsuka’ . The event stretches over ten days, from 2025 March 7 to March 13, during the most vibrant period of autumn.
The festival emphasizes films from different countries, providing a platform to present the diverse cultures and talents of the region.The festival aims to identify and support talented filmmakers including directors, actors, screenwriters and other professionals.The festival encourages experimentation and innovation in filmmaking by giving filmmakers the opportunity to present their creative ideas.
"CineSakura" is focused on creating an engaging and unforgettable experience for audiences that not only entertains but also enriches their cultural understanding.
The jury consists of distinguished Japanese and international filmmakers, directors, actors, producers and film critics, creating a diverse approach to evaluating films. The festival program includes not only screenings of competition films, but also the organization of special events such as retrospectives of Japanese cinema, lectures from guest experts, master classes from great directors, and cultural events.

Prerequisites
1. All submitted films and projects must be free of any legal disputes and the director must have all rights to the music and exhibitions.
2. All films must be in English or with English subtitles.Non-English language films without subtitles will not be considered.
3. There are no restrictions on the year of release.
4. There are no premiere requirements.
5. Entry fees are non-refundable.
6. You own all rights to the movie.
7. You cannot withdraw your entry after the official announcement of each round's selection.
8. If you are not a winner, you may submit your movie again.
